Yo Im a fan of Dr. Dre but I feel the same way Snoop does how many years has Dre been puttin this album together you know alot of things have changed in his life and in the muzic these days. I mean is the album really waiting all these years for come on now shit couldnt be that fuckin good to be having all his fans and homies waiting all these fuckin years for an album I mean for him to be taking this long it better be better than ALL his old albums including all the DPG/Snoop albums on Death Row that shit is fuckin ridiculous aint nobody I know cares if he releases that detox shit now anyways cuzz its been years and he aint done shit. I bet you anything the album will be good Im not sayin it wont but Im just sayin was it worth the fuckin wait aint no album worth waiting that fuckin long for what do yall think?

doubt it, a double cd increases the chance of people saying i don't like this track.
I expect to be disappointed when i first hear it as my expectations will be so high but then by the 3rd listen praising it !!

Dre is thinking of putting like 13 tracks on detox so it is NOT going to be a double cd, that 100% sure. Another fact is that its gonna be PURE DOPE. Best album ever !!!!

Nobody is really thinking or even care about Detox right now.
But everybody will cop/check it out when it drops. Without a doubt.

People would obviously like to hear it and hear info about it but they also tired of waiting for it, and therefor
tries to concentrate on albums that really are comin out and not taking 9 years like LAX, Jay Rock's album, Glasses
etc.

Well it's also because Detox is obviously gonna be like 5 times better than LAX to be honest. And i ain't a hater, i love game's shit and i think his next album will be crazy. But Detox man...nobody can fuck with dre when it comes to hip hop.
Then, of course outside the internet nobody waits for detox yet cause nobody knows about. When the first video hits mtv, then "normal" people who are not too much into hip hop are gonna realise what's going. The nuclear bomb is coming. And dre is gonna have a new generation of fans. He's gonna make new little kids into hip hop with that shit. It's a movement. Like in 99 when i was a kid, em and dre put me into hip hop with their albums... Now it's the new era with bishop and dre coming with some crazy music...

there may not be a lot of people contributing to the serious detox topic, but a lot of posters and guests are checking for it.
besides, as da chronic pointed out, the various detox topics on dubcc are a good indicator of how much Detox is actually being anticipated.

For sure people are anticipating, we don't even need an indicator to realise that. Remember that Detox is simply one of the most anticipated albums in history. And maybe the most anticipated in hip hop (with all eyes on me of course..). Dre dropped two albums which both are considered by many as classics. He's one of the most creative and innovative personnality in hip hop so every hiphop heads want to know what his new sound will be...

Regarding Messi and Da Chronic: as you guys said, because LAX is comming out, and we are still nebulous about detox. Is it gonna be worth it ? I'm not worried because dre's slow. always was. but none of his work has been dissapointing to me. (Often criticized for FIRE off curtis and Imagine off Blue Carpet Treatment) I enjoyed this NEW dre sound as much as the old G funk. For sure it's not gonna be worth 10 years waiting for in the sense that he could have put it out at least five years earlier but since he wants to be very much involved in all projects going on on his label he is forced to make sacrifices. But i think we are all gonna be very much please with what we hear when that First single off Detox drops. I can picture it right now.

the mainstream artist on the westcoast doin tracks like Ay Bay Bay, Crank Dat and shit.

i do support it but i'm not shellin out my hard earned money for some bullshit. Dub C put out a solid album in 07 and Game and Snoop in late 06 but besides that nothing appealing to me has been released. All these skilled rappers are being pushed to the curb and not getting the exposure they deserve. I mean theres some really talented artists on the Westcoast. Prime example look at Crooked I unbelievable lyricist but i bet half of hip hop fans don't even know who the fuck he is. I can't understand why this dude has not released an album to date. Its like if your name ain't Snoop you're straight underground on the west. I wanna see Detox come out as much as all of you do but come on lets be real if it was that dope that shit would be done right now it don't take 10 years to make an album. The way I look at it the more time that pass the less likely it will come out and worse off the quality.

I don't think there will ever be another album that people expect so much from as they do from Detox. Just because the expectations are so high it will be disappointing. Even though that in the last few years Dre has put out many beats that stink, we still expect every track to be mind blowing.
Should anyone wait for this album? No. Be happy if it comes out and have an open mind cause it probably won't live up to what you expect or want from it.

Gettin fadded? which he dont do no more, fuckin hoes?, beatin fools asses? thats one thing i cant stand is that some of these rapperz that have made is successfully not all of them but alot of them dont even live the everyday street life we live anymore and havent for a minute so I just think its funny foolz come out on this tulf talk rappin shit or things they rap about and they dont even do the shit its kinda like watchin a damn movie these days fiction rap is what they should call it or story tellin haha

The only reason why Detox hasnt came out is bcuz the timing is off. Look at it from a marketing point of view, when "Snap Yo Fingaz" came out how could you have released it? When Jeezy came out wit' 101 Detox wouldnt have sounded right, it woulda been a clash of albums out (classics yes) but it wouldnt have meshed 2getha right. Even last year when everybody was makin' they own versions of "Bia Bia" and "White Tee" that shit wouldnt have sounded right. Detox wouldve failed. u gotta think about Dre's sound that he has (yes its amazing at times but tha environment the music wouldve been in it woulda faded out REALLY FAST). i give it winter 2008 to January 2010 4 this to finally come out. Dr. Dre is Dr. Dre wen he comes out tha whole world has 2 stop and take notice- not just stop 2 look and keep rollin'. Sales arent an issue anymore and neither is quality cuz wen you've been doin' it 4 so long quality doesnt become an issue. the youngins aint on Dre like that- only his beats and it aint all about tha youngins neitha but even his older generation of fans have finally figured out that his beats aint hittin' like that, not 2 say that Detox wont b HUGE but it wont b somethin that we aint neva heard b4.
