It's too hard to tell. It depends on his style - is he gonna commercialise it or stay raw. I can't picture a track with him and nate on it but i'm sure it will happen.

It'll Drop In The Fall, I'd Look For about October, November.

I'll Guess It Goes Double Platinum... Rakim Has A Following, Everybody DOES Know Him, Plus You'll Get All The Teeny Boppers Buying It For Dre And Snoop And Eminem (If They're On There).  It'll Be A Great Album, 9.5 Materiall.....

yeah i asked my friends at work..and they were like who?

im like Microphone fiend?
maaan makin my azzz feel all old and shit.......

but.....i think it depends on what the first single will be....if Dre is puttin is all into this album...he is going to have interscope(universal) push this album hard.......especially if someone on here said that dre just got a 9 figure deal???

Yeah, But That's Why I Said 2 Million.  There Are Probably 1 Million Hip Hop Heads That Will Buy The Album Outta Respect!  They KNOW With Dre It's Gonna Be Dope.. Did His Last Album Go Gold? On What, There Were No Video Play Or Air Play... That's All Hip Hop Heads...

Throw In A Million For The MTV Audience, And There Ya Go...

itll be banging and most peeps will  love it....the only folks thats gonna sleep on this album are those real east coast purists (no disrespect to them) that dont wanna hear rakim on no funky dre shit....

but i think itll be straight heat....

nah me neither man, but im talking about those real hardcore east coast underground purists.....

to them Rakim is like a symbol of what hip hop stands for (beleive me cos i know a lot of cats like that) and even tho theyll all cop the album...there gonna say shit like "Rakim is a lyrical genius, but it just aint his style to come out with Dr Dres futuristic funk shit"

they ant hatin on dre....they just aint ready to move with the times and think that it can only be REAL rakim shit if it has one of them grimy ny beats (which i love too by the way!)

Rakim Is Scheduled (Like We Reported) To Do Some Shows In May/June!  He Usually Doesn't Perform, So If He's Performing Again, He Must Have Something New To Perform :)

i really hope the outz are on it ....

theyre so underated (they are also another example of a group who got bootlegged real bad for their new lp...i beleive their back in the lab now....)

I can't see Rakim going more than platinum, I mean everybody was saying Xzibit was going 3 or 4X plat because of Dre but he's not.

Post by: cremedelaclem on April 25, 2001, 05:42:32 PM
actually......thats a real good point.....

i think rakim will do a lil better than xzibit...but not multi platinum to the levels of dre or eminem or nothing....

x to tha z will b 2x platinum in a few months i reckon.....did u know he sold more in the first week of restless than the total of his first two put together and i'm almostcertain thats not just their first week its TOTAL sales.

It will go platnum no more, no less. I'm very excited about this album however watch when it comes out the source give it 3.5 mics and say that Rakim is on point but dre doesn't fit with him.

It'll have potential of going double platinum no doubt, just peep out Xzibit and his record sales.  Rakim will definitely get his plat plaque fo sho!!

It all depends on how well Dre educates people about Rakim - they gotta give him an identity for the mainstream
Xzibit was just another black rapper to the mainstream

for real....

i was fucking broken when i heard that shit....straight wack....

hopefully dre wont alter his style to fit rakim and visa versa cos that never works.....they need to come to a phat musical compromise...
