I have this track on a few different mix cd's from a few years back, but neither of them sound like cdq, so I was wondering if this track was actually released or not?
If so, could anyone post the cdq version of it?
Forgive my ignorance, but I've never really been much of a Roots fan, but I have always been feelin this track!

That's where I was fuckin up with my searchin. I didn't know it was actually an Erica Badu song...just featuring The Roots.
Props homie!!!

It sure was released. It was the first single from their '99 album Things Fall Apart.

It's a Roots track. Just was coded wrong by the person who uploaded it. Quest's drum solo at the end is simply breath taking.

there even is a version with Jill Scott
if anyone needs it ...holla! :)

Where is the Jill Scott version from? Does it still feature The Roots & Jill Scott just takes the place of Erica Badu?

it has Jill instead of Erykah ...might be different lyrics even, haven't listened to it in a long time
I got it on a best of 99 compilation ...probably was on the single. I'm gonna up it

The Roots ft. Eve & Jill Scott - You Got Me

btw Jill wrote the hook anyway, so this might actually be the "original" version (again source: booklet ...Roots booklets are always unique cause they usually tell stories to every song in detail or the people involved

I have the one with Jill Scott, listening to it now, its on the Home Grown! album
