I was like 10 or 11 when I first heard Snoop, but at that age, I was not interested in music, but when I got into rap (at 16 yrs old)it was Snoop I got into. The first song in my mind that I REALLY listened to was WOOF! ............. you heard me... WOOF! ... I had no idea about his Deathrow days, his previous albums or anything else ... I was just getting into rap and Da Game was the first rap CD I ever bought ... since then though, I bought The Chronic, Doggystyle, Doggfather, Regulate, Both Nate albums, and ton's more ... I used to be a DEATHROW HEAD, but now FUCK EM ...

i know i was probably Deep Cover cuz my older brother was REEEEEEEEEEEEEALy into all that music back in the days, but i don't remember hearing it , the first snoop song i do remember hearing was Dre Day i remember the first day it premiered and then trying to humm the bass line at school the next day

well back when i started to listen to rap, i jus listenend to the radio and heard the songs, i didnt even know what the name of da song or the rappaz name was, lol... well back then the first snoop song i remembered was "STILL A G THANG"..i liked that song, but it was later i realized it was snoop dogg, lol :o

I remember it vividly:
I was in 1st or 2nd grade back in '93 or '94. My mom picked me up and we were listening to 92.3 the Beat. Then Who Am I? (What's my Name) was playing. Damn I was feeling that track. I was singing the hook and shit. I was only 7 or 8.
Thats the first time I remember hearing Snoop.

The first song with snoop i heard was " nuthin` but a g thang " , i saw it on " mtv yo raps " , and I was reaaally feelin` it.
The next day I went to a record store searching for the single but didn`t find it, so I said fuck it and bought the album from this dr. dre i never heard of.
Since then i was really feelin this death row and westcoast stuff and grew up with it.

I Remember It Perfectly. I Went Over To My Friend's House One Day, And He Was Watchin' "yo, MTV Raps"... Well, They Had This Thing Back Then Where They'd Show The Video, And Have A Little Ball Bouncing At The Bottom So You Could Rap Along... The First One They Did I Saw Was Snow's "Informer", Cuz You Know Nobody Knew The Words. Well, I Stopped By His House Down The Street, We Turned The T.V. On, And I See This Big Lanky Mothafunker Sayin' "Yeahhh, And Ya Don't St-Stoppppp, Cuz It's 1-8-7 On A Unda Covaaaa Coppppp"... That Was The First Time I Saw Snoop. The Video Must Have Been Old Though, Cuz The Next Week, We Bought The TAPE Version Of "The Chronic", And I Remember Everybody Trippin' Cuz It Said "Dat Nigga Daz" On The Cover... LOL. Next Video I Saw Was "Dre Day"..

OH, Yall Got Me Trippin' Now. That Summer Was AWESOME. I Was About 14, And I Spent The WHOLE Summer At The Pool At Our Place. We Had All The 'Lil Neigborhood Girls Runnin' Around In Bathing Suits... Man, Those Were The DAYZ. I Remember I'd Be AT The Pool With My Friends From Like 10:30am, Until Like 10pm, EVERYDAY, 7 Days A Week. It Was Like A Big Party The Whole Summer. We Had A Radio Out There, And All They Played Was "Nothin' But A G Thang", And "Dre DAy", ALL SUMMER. ONe DJ Also Had The Balls To Play Luke's "Cowards In Compton", And I Remember Thinking I Couldn't BELIEVE Luke Pulled That Off... lol. Yall, I Used To Swim In Thunderstorms And Sh*t, And When I Wasn't Swimmin, I Was Playing Basketball, Or Stealing Sh*t From The Local Wal-Mart.. .LOL.

i remember i used to chill listenin to snoop and dre in ny in like 92 (our family mainly lived in manhattan but for brief periods in red hook and south bronx) and i used to catch heat off all the big homies on the block!
i mean, i was only like 14 and shit so i never got beat up on or nothing...but my brothers friends used to clown on me all the time for sitting out on our steps bumpin g funk shit (i sed to get called 'shorty west' for a long time....). At that time most peeps was still on some p.e shit or some marley marl but i was wide open to all that shit....

The first time I heard Snoop was on " Deep Cover " but I never really became a Snoop fan, until I heard Gin and Juice, I have to admit though , I was a bigger Nate fan then Snoop fan before, I bought MWTC just cause it had Nate doin a whole song.

Snow is tha shit, y'all should listen to his early shit, he ain't that good anymore, but damn that cat could pull of some hot shit back in the days. Murder Love is probably his best album.

Deep Cover in 92. I still remember that shit, actually I saw the video on the Box here in NYC. Damn that was almost 10 years ago.

I heard Snoop when i was around 11 or 12 to, it was "whats my name" i remembered i loved it even then, but because of little info, no mtv, no intenet and the fact that i was only twelve I never heard of him after that till i was about 14 When tha doggfather came out and "Vapours"was a single, At the time i didn't like Vapours (even through it is one of my fav songs now) and i heard the doggfather album was meant to be bad etc ..so i lost interest in Snoop. Rap then was not doing very well round 96' so i didn't really get into another rapper till bout 97' just after Pac and Biggie had died... I listened to some of there stuff (I never heard of them really B4 they were dead) Aslo i never even heard of Dre till eminem .. lol I started to like eminem round 99' then i got mmlp and Dre 2001, cause of Dre 2001 i got into Snoop again ( i never even heard of the No Limit stuff) Aslo i seen snoop on that Maraih Carey song "cry baby" i didn't like that song but i thought bout Snoop, "Wow he has a really good voice!" but i didn't know wheather to get a full snoop album ( really expensive here) My friend had Doggystyle so i asked 4 a copy. That was really the first album i ever thought WOW to Y'know every song was good . Then i bought Top dogg cause i heard it was the second best snoop album (i was a little disappointed) Compared to doggystyle... Then i got Da Game and Doggfather round the same time.. Doggfather - real good i don't know why people say its bad.. Da Game .. er... now that was bad lol.. I got the last meal then and think thats ok so i 'm going keep buying snoop...
so thats how i'm a snoop fan !

Late 1992, I heard Nuthin But A "G" Thang for the first time on 99.1 KGGI in the I.E. Power 106 and 92.3 the Beat didn't come out here then.

Yea, it was Nothin but a g thang for me. thats one of my favorite songs. the video was awesome too. but i saw that before i really began to appreciate Dre and Snoops music, i wish they would play those videos more often.

Murder Was The Case was the first Snoop song i heard, my godfather listened to Snoop when i was young ( i was about 8 when Doggystyle came out ) so i heard a lot of him, but i didn't get into Rap until last year, but now i have like TONS of Rap CDs.

i think i was like in 7th grade..when i first heard snoop.,.....i was watchin mtv....and dre came on...it was all dark in the video..and i was like..dayuuum that song was tight...Deep Cover......and i was trying to grab a piece of paper and pen to write down who it was..so i could tell my boyz at school.....but i couldnt find a pen and paper......maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan..

Damn! You all have been down with him since the beginning. I actually heard Whats My Name first, but I dont count that because I hated rap, it was about three years ago when I heard WOOF! ... I was like DAMN! THATS MY DOGG ... But Woof! is now at the bottom of my list ... ive learned a lot since then! I can't listen to that song anymore, but I love Da game is to be sold album... I PUMP IT EVERYDAY, MORE THAN MOST OF MY ALBUMS.... i'm just a different fan ... I guess

I was about 8 yearz old.... We were tha only family on tha block that had a basket ball court so all kinds of older kids would come play in my drive way.... They would bring a lil boom box or some shit and I remember alwayz hearing them bump the Chronic.... so i guess tha first song i remember hearing him on was "Nuthin But a G Thang".... I remember hearing "Bitches Aint Shit But Hoez And Tricks....." a grip too

The day Doggystyle came out my friend got the album and we were on the way home from school and he was pumping it up and I waslikw who's that and he said thats Snoop Doggy Dogg, I asked him to play some of it for me and and he played Lodi Dodi I was like damn thats some good shit, The next song he played was Tha Shiznit. By the time I heard those two songs i Loved Snoop so the nex day i went out and bought his album and the next day after that i got The Chronic and still loving both albums today and still pumping up BIG SNOOP DOGG!!

In first grade (I guess that's around the time when Doggystyle came out) my dad was driving me to school and he was bumping "Who am I" on the radio. I really liked the song, and it got stuck in my head forever. The same day I heard "Who Am I" I was talking to this kid and said "You know the song that goes, 'Snoop Doggy Daw who ahhhhh'" (I really didnt know the lyrics back then) and I dont really remember what he said but I remember him saying "I got a record with bad words and my mom let me keep it, it's Snoop Doggy Dogg" That's all I really remember...These were the good ol dayz...LOL
