I was just wondering...do kids, or does anybody, still collect Sports Cards?
I remember back in Elementary school, one of my main hobbies was collecting cards. I used to get that Magazine called "Beckett" that had the monthly prices for the values of cards. There were a lot of card shops around...one in every mall, and a few random ones. I don't see any of these shops anymore, and the only time I see cards is when I'm in line at Target or Wal-Mart.

Damn that's a really good question.
I still have a TON of basketball cards that I would collect. Got albums & albums filled with them.
Got a couple different Shaq rookies...got a Jordan rookie....a Magic Johnson rookie...and more. I know that shit has to be worth a nice bundle right now but I still have them all stored away until I feel like having them all appraised. I used to love going through the new Beckett every month!

There are still card shops around... My dad has a favorite spot out in Burbank where he adds to his collection. He loves those rookie cards.

I think theyre all too busy online collecting free porn clips to collect sports cards nowadays.

Good question, I remember back in the days all we did was collect footballcards (and -stickers) and ran around on the field. All day, everyday.
I wonder how much money I've spent on that :D
Damn, that was a good time.

I have a gang of cards from when I was younger. I think the overall value on cards went down, though.

Yeah I collected cards for years last time I looked at Becket was about 7 years ago

if you collect baseball cards for $$, then youre gonna be disappointed. there are so many variations and companies who make em that the value has deteriorated dramatically.

they have, sadly. i have a grip of cards from the 94-98 era of basketball . so needless to say i have a lot of rookies of players like kobe, iverson, duncan, and quite a few jordan's as well. prices peeked in like 2002 then they kinda stalled and now they're actually going down.
