Hi. I download some unreleased shit from Crooked I at westcoast2k & i must confirm that he is the best rapper i have ever heard bar none. He has everything, he has great lyrics, great flow, great voice, great speed. He is like a combo of what east coast rappers are good at (lyrics) & what west coast rappers are good at (flow & gangsta shit).
But the thing that is bugging me is that I have a feeling Death Row will fuck up his career. I mean the songs off TOO GANGSTA sdtk by him were good, but i heard the row dot come song he did & the beat SUCKS
I just have a feeling that Death Row will manage to screw up on this one. SO I'm begging Death Row to not screw this chance up. He is extremely talented & could be what Death Row needs to at least be put on the map again instead of selling 11,000 cds in 2 weeks.
Now, dont hate becoz his on the row. Judge by his talent. I aint heard even diss Snoop or anyone.
Thou i dont want to give the row money, I will buy Crooked I's cd to show him support & he will get some money at least (even if Suge just gives him the crums)
So whats your take on Crooked I, how Tha Row is managing him or will manage him & will you support him?

I'm with you on this. Since like '98 when i heard Crook on the ride soundtrack and the c-style compilation i knew he was somethin special.
then when i heard he had signed with death row i was pissed, since nobodys done good shit on that label for years.
now i hear him 'riding for the row' in his songs and shit its kinda wack to me. but no doubt hes still one of my favorite rappers and Ill be checkin for his album.

I love Crooked I,but alot of cats don't wanna give him respect either a) becuase he's on the row or b)east coast cats look at his gangsta image and think he's some kind of useless MC....i personally think he has mad potential, he's not the best i still think Xzibit is (my opinion) but he has potential to have his kind of success, and if Deathrow does manage to fuck up his carreer i will personally fuck up deathrow...if i have to break in one of their offices windows by golly i will (lol joke) naw but for reals i'm with engies i have a feeling that Deathrow will fuck him over

now engies point aobut the beats being fucked up..death rows beats will always do alright, cause we love westcoast beats and thats exactly what they bring.
and im sorry to dissapoint you, but tharow.com the song, the beat is by crooked i's own production team, death row didnt produce it, and i think that beat is maad tight

infact, although i hate to say it, i think that even tho we all recognise the talent crooked is gonna fast become one of the most hated people on this board.
i think suge is gonna realise the positive feedback on shit crooked has done and use him (alongside unreleased pac and maybe some new cats) to spearhead an unprecedented death row assault (with disses galore).
if suge has any business brains he will do this.........and so will crooked I because if he comes out with all guns blazin (i.e dissin everyone that has beef with the row) like hes indicated...he will DEFINATLEY go multi-plat....

word up, I've always said that Crooke I is the shit...'Uh Oh' and 'Death Rizzo' are the shit, he's ripped it on the Wake Up Show(2 times..especially the one w/ Chino XL), but his best piece to me is his freestyle/song with DJ Revolution, he totally rips it over a dope ass mixed beat...he's spittin lines like 'Crooked I be jackin 'n mic snatching/ the greatest thing to happen to rappin since scratching' and 'I had the notion to show mad devotion/ I'm killing rappers careers like bad promotion/ Its '98 and I'm still gettin my sack on/ I'm the artist the Westcoast has been waitin to brag on', and he can flow so fuckin fast....another dope piece by him is the Wake Up Show Exclusive 'Murderin MC's'...dope ass battle rhymes, kinda like his spit on 'Step Up'...like 'Honestly though...you're gettin clowned worse than an ugly bitch at the front row of a comedy show' and 'Crooked I never fears you/ I only wish you'd rap faster than the speed of sound so I wouldnt have to hear you'...this cat is jus ill, finally another westcoast artist with ill punchlines, kickin battle ish...but he can also spit about serious ish in life and all, like on 'Did You Ever Think'

Word up. Crooked I is the best rapper on the west coast, and u know his album is gonna be tight becuase it his debut. The only album that i can think of who debut was his worst album is Kurupt. Im forward looking for his album the most.

Word Up! I made a post earlier if any one even knows what he looks like. Id like to have a visual of who the fuck im listening to. I dont give a fuck what label hes on or what label any one is on or if D-A-Z goes to Rock A Fella, Im all bout da music, I coul carless about the other politics.
