If he owns Kobe today, he has a good shot. If the Lakers win today, I don't see how Paul would win it... it's simply about time for Kobe, that's going to be the biggest factor for those who cast the votes.

1. about the topic. see lebron is going backwards with his career. last year he was such a great player and leader, and this year it's like he took a step back and did what kobe did last year....i don't care if lebron scores 100 points he doesn't belong in an MVP ballot. i'm just disappointed. sure his stats are amazing. JORDAN-ESQUE. but the MVP isn't about personal stats :P
2. Kobe is officially the MVP now with the win over new orleans. and whoever is saying he's geting it because he hasn't won it yet.....get the fuck out of here

lebron took a step backwards in the LEADERSHIP role. he's doing what kobe did the past few years, just jacking up numbers trying to do it all himself. you watch him now compared to last year and it's a step backward. he's got heart he's got talent, there's no denying he's rivaling kobe as the best over all player in the league, but mvps are won based upon leadership. not stats. remember stats don't tell the whole story. and as far as the team around him goes. he took a rinky dink squad to the finals, in a much more competitive eastern conference.
