Title: Let's post some great R&B songs
Post by: smegma on April 16, 2008, 12:11:42 PM
Jrome inspired me to create this topic. Outbound needs quality injection!

Jaheim before he fell off: "Could It Be". Amazing track! :)

The title song from R. Kelly's "Happy People" disc... This album is a personal favorite of mine that came out in the last years. I don't think there's any denying that all (individual) songs on this album are great.

I wish Ginuwine was still around in the charts. The level of current mainstream R&B wouldn't be at an all time low then. Pony!

Curtis Mayfield sings one of my all time favorite songs: "Freddie's Dead"

Happy People was the tightest R&B joint out when that shit came out. My favorite part is 3:55 and then on. Word, it's everybody's ain't it? 8)

D'Angelo once made one of the best albums ever. It was titled "Voodoo". This is the first single: "Untitled (How Does It Feel)".

They are gonna have to place somethin else in the middle of that D'Angelo video so it doesn't show that one frame in the links.

I don't care for most 2000's R&B, but some of the so-called "Neo soul" artists did make some near classic music.
