Well.. I lost to Outlawz (Mo Z Dizzle) in the finals of the dubcc basketball fantasy league by 3 points and/or one block. >:( The thing is, I didn't lose because he had a better team. My team was clearly murdering his. the reason I lost was because he used the streaming method to gain games on me. I coulda easily streamed right back to secure my 11-1 lead, but I wanted to beat him legitly, with the team I assembled.
So my question is, do you guys agree with the add/drop method or is it some pussy shit?
Mo Z used 29 players this week, compared to my 14.......Fair?

How are the rules in fantasy basketball when money is involved?
-
well, you have to either agree not to use BS streaming tactics or put a limit on moves... this is a public league, so there were no move limits. still, I didn't get beat because his team was better. my team was one of the greatest fantasy teams I've ever seen assembled. If I was in his position, I personally woulda' stuck with my team and taken the loss if that's what it came down to.

Its just a game dude, no need to be a bitch about it.
-
So streaming is just moving a player to the bench when his team is not playing and taking a bench player and putting him the line-up because he is playing?
-
The fuck is streaming?

It's legit then. Unless, there was some sort of agreement between all the players before the season or even before the playoffs.

Adding/Dropping players

how am I bitching? LOL...I just wanna know if people agree with the method of people winning, but not for the strength of their team.

no...streaming is dropping players to pick-up players that have a game that day, so that you can gain games on your opponent and produce more stats. anyone can win that way.

personally i run my own yahoo pool and since i'm the commish i can lock rosters...so when its playoff time, i only allow all teams to make moves on sundays...everyone agrees with it anyway
-
I guess it's fine if no rules are against it and both players have the option of doing it, still a level playing field. But I do think teams shouldn't be allowed to do that in the playoffs.
-
I shoulda' locked rosters, but I didn't...and I coulda' streamed back and won with ease, but I wouldn't do that. Maybe I shoulda', though...LOL
No hard feelings, MO Z...You did me dirty, but u still got first...PeACe

Since it isn't against the rules, it isn't cheating, but it is definately cheap as hell.

that's exactly the way I see it.
-
It's not the coolest thing to do, but since it's allowed by league rules it's just "doing everything to win"... didn't even know you were beat... LoL!
-
the minute you saw him doing this, you shoulda done it too.
he did it, you didnt, he won, you didnt, it is what it is.

I don't like using cheap methods to win...I shoulda just locked his roster.

oh you were the commish? well then yeah, when you saw him do the first round of drop/add you shoulda locked his team..keep that in mind for next year...and maybe make that one of the rules - "no streaming".

When money is involved...you can't do that.
-
If its not against the rules... its not cheating, and therefore isnt cheap.. its just part of the game. If you didn't like the rules you should have said something at the start
but I agree that playoff pools should be about picking players who will last a few rounds.. it adds more strategy too it, thats the way my hockey pool is set up. Thats how I ended up with 5 detroit players and Marc-Andre Fleury
