Acording to mtv.com Kokane who was featured on the last meal will be known as Mr. Kane. I personally liked Kokane better. Sounds nice. He is working with a variety of artist.
Here is the article:
The album, which will be released by Snoop's Dogghouse Records through Dre's Aftermath Entertainment, will feature appearances from the legendary twosome as well as D'Angelo, Macy Gray, Mystikal and the Goodie Mob's Cee-Lo.
In addition to Kane himself, Cee-Lo, Dre and Swizz Beatz are all slated to produce tracks, at least one of which will feature Kane's 13-piece band, Toejam.
Kane, who's in New York working with Jadakiss, hasn't limited his studio time to just his album. The singer has completed seven tracks for Tha Eastsidaz' second LP and five tracks for Mobb Deep. He has also begun working with Dre on the superproducer's next album and will be sharing time in the vocal booth with Jay-Z soon.
"It's beautiful," Kane said of his East-West collaborations. "All the haters are in jail. I'm out here just letting my hair down. All the Berlin Walls have been knocked down."
Kane, who was featured on nine of Snoop Dogg's Tha Last Meal cuts, also hopes to release an album with fellow Snoop Dogg affiliate Suga Free and newcomer Pimpin Young as part of the group Sky.
"We're bringing back that old '70s soul-funk and flipping it," he said.

damn 5 for mob deep! this mo fo is being overused...
but anyway his album will be tight with dre working on it.fo shizzy
-
His last album was called "They Call Me Mr. Kane" so he has already been calling himself that.
No matter what y'all say Kokane is hella tight. If it weren't true then why is everyone using him in their albums?
-
It's probly cuz they can't go around MTV saying "Kokanes new album is out"..Just like Dat Nigga Daz was changed to Daz Dillinger...
-
Yeah now i know is right, he cant be going on mainstream and media with the name Kokane, and of course he wants good album sales so he changed it . it makes perfect sense that way
-
Mr. Kane's A Bangin' Name... I Hope He Still Calls Himself Kokane From Time To Time, Though, That's Tight...
Like Snoop.. .He's Snoop Dogg Now, But He Still Calls Himself Snoop Doggy Dogg Every Once In A While... I LOVE That Stuff...
-
i think its a really good sign that he changed his name ...this means that they might promote the hell out of his album and it might blow up big...
-
I hope the "Rap singers" blow the fuck up since I like both R&B and Rap. I would love to see albums by TQ, Butch Cassidy, Kokane and Nate Dogg. And then hopefully that Snoopadelic thing will work out.
-
Yeah, I Totally Agree... The Best Songs Are When They Mix R&B And Rap, For Instance, Mary J Blige & Method Man Did That Tight Song... Eve & Snoop Did "Ready To Ride", Anything Warren G's Ever Made (LOL), "The Message" By Dr. Dre, All Those Are Nice... I Mean, We Gots To Have Some Songs We Can Play In Mixed Company... LOL
-
Some songs that mix rock and rap are tight too. I love Fuck Dying by Ice Cube and Korn.
-
Yeah, Great Song... Cube Was On A Korn Album, Too, And It Was Alright Also. I Even Liked That "Come With Me" Junk Puff Daddy Did...And That Other One Of His, "Victory", Both Of Those Were Rock And Were Alright... Damn, While I'm At It, The Rock Remix Of "All About The Benjamins" Was Nice Too... LOL.

kokane and mobb deep ??? seems a lil odd...doesnt go well...hes coo over dark tracks like any last werdz or neighborhood sniper....but i doubt hed sound good on a havoc beat...and dre and mobb deep??? dre is really starting to figure the west out of hisline up and make it strictly east coast...shame....
-

kokane did the hook for "connected" on duces n trayz which featured mobb deep. that was an alchemist beat i think, but i was feelin that track.
-
yea he sounded coo on the alchemist track...but u gotta remember alchemist is from l.a. livin in ny...so he still has a little west coast flavor in him...havoc has some coo beats(yea i said it)...but theyre very east coast...
-
true true. if kokane made a hook like he did for the one on doggys agels...(not sure the name)
he goes "the world is gettin colder/ posess a burder on my shoulder" or something
that shit would sound good over havoc production.
i like havocs beats, but i like eastcoast music alot more than some people on here, so its all in your opinion i guess
-
yea i got nothin against east coast music...kokes just got too much funk in his voice for an east coast track...imo
-
yea i agree, it would be a challenge for this mr. kane to fit in with eastcoast influence. ;)
-
Tha ORIGINAL "Mr. Kane" is MISTA CANE......
-
i thought he was on there cd im not sure though but i thought he ended up on mob deeps cd
-
Honestly, I hate this freakin guy's voice, especially after listening to Last Meal. But what the hell, if everyone's diggin his style in the music industry, then more power to him. I hope he blows up, since he does work his ass off, and it'll be more publicity for Doggystyle Records
-
Damn, I've been waitin' on this Kokane album! I think it might sound strange with Kokane and Mobb Deep, but shit 5 tracks...it probably will be bangin' cause I loved Tha Last Meal. BTW...I think he still calls himself Kokane in his songs, it will just appear as Mr. Kane on the CD.
