ORLANDO, Fla. (AP)—Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu has been selected the NBA’s most improved player.
The NBA announced Monday that Turkoglu received 380 points, including 61 first-place votes. Memphis Grizzlies guard Rudy Gay was second with 167 points and 23 first-place votes, while Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge was third with 128 points and nine first-place votes.
Turkoglu, in his eighth NBA season, averaged a career-high 19.5 points per game, 5.7 rebounds per game and 5 assists per game.
Last season, Turkoglu averaged 13.3 points, 4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
good choice.

i was pulllin for K-man but, hedo was a logical choice.
-
only award they've 100% got right, hands down.
-
^I also agreed with Ginobli for 6th man.
-
Me too. Ginobili 6th man and this one are good choices.
Defensive player of the year.. i was supporting Josh Smith too, but KG ain't an horrible pick. I mean he's the best defender of the best defensive team of the league anyway.

forgot about that one lol, make it second i guess ;D

LMFAO at Rudy being 2nd. Hedo and Dunleavy were by far the 2 best candidates, both were deserving, congrads to Hedo for winning and sucks that Dunleavy was slept on so bad this year, dude had a great fuckin year.
-
They got their top 3 just about how I had my top 3 for the award.

Gay and Aldridge are horrid picks for this award, they are great players but 2nd year players should never be up for this award, you are supposed to improve from your rookie season, that CANT be argued. Dunleavy easily should have been 2nd and you could make the case he should of won.

weren't you a supporter of Monta Ellis getting it last year?
-
why is no one giving k-man any props?
-
kaman woulda been a legit contender but aside from his long injury in the second half of the season, the clips were horrible this year. players on playoff teams will always get the nod over lesser relevant teams, which is y monta ellis won over kevin martin
