Congratulations to Crooked I - 11th Annual Mixtape Awards Winner


Strike another "W" in the win column for Crooked I.  Last night (4/29/08), the 11th Annual Justo Mixtape Awards finally went down in NYC and it was announced that Crooked I was the winner of the "BEST WEST COAST MIXTAPE ARTIST" award.  He beat out The Game, Bishop Lamont, Juice and 40 Glocc in this category.

FYI, this awards ceremony is a big deal in the hip-hop industry.  MTV dubs it the "Grammy Awards for the streets." 

BIG PROPS to all the D.O.C. members and all members here at dubcc who voted for Crook.  We did it again!!

DJ Skee won best west coast DJ award, so is he gonna put out that Gangsta Shit song by Game now, lets all hit him up on his myspace lol!!!

You know what a mixtape is? A bunch of songs that aren't good enough to be on an album.


Is this like a joke awards show? Artists who never release actual albums shouldn't be given awards. And who's his competition, 95% of mixtapes suck. Release an album god please.

what are you talking about,.. mixtapes are better than albums nowadays..

when u release an album u have to go through so many corporate suits

thats why rappers like fabolous, lil wayne release mixtapes that are fire but there albums are ABOUT THE MOST MAINSTREAM SHIT
