Rockwilder
Scott Storch
Just Blaze
I'm with Scott Storch. This dude is really amazing behind the boards,he produce for w.c. and the other day for the slum village,he's the most versatile beatmaker right about now.
I prefer rockwilder than just blaze, but behind scott
-
Most Innovative? I think Meech Wells.
-
Out of the three listed above, Scott Storch, easily. But outside of them three i'd probably have to pick Quik, Ayatollah or Hi Tek.

Yeah.... Ayotallah is real focused behind the boards. Probably comes from his Islamic background. He's named after a 1900's totalitarian leader who brought the Shariah (Islamic law) to the people of Iran.

Coo'. Here in Wales 'Ayotollah' means something alot different, it's a sort of dance/song that people do at football matches ;D
-
Just wanna add that I think "The Life" is one of the best beats/songs to be released this yr, no doubt.
-
Gotta give it up to 'Megahertz', want a monster of a track? call him.
peace

@ The moment, I'm feeling Just Blaze and Kanye West (Xzibit & Kweli). Same with The Neptunes (Justin Tinmberlake) and Eminem.
Scott Storch needs to start putting out more stuff now that he is away from Dre. I haven't heard a new Rockwilder beat since 2001. What happened to him? Before The Neptunes erupted...everyone had this dude on their album.
Dre hasn't surprised me this year. I like "Business" the best so far.

IMO...Dj Quik still has this slot locked.
The catagory was named after, and will always be Quik whenever I think about Innovation to me.

I'd like to know y'all opinions about these 3 producers
1. Rockwilder - My 2nd favourite producer behind Dre.
Created his own trademark sound, and is by far the most innovative of these 3.
2. Just Blaze - Makes pretty good tracks, but he's a little club-focused to my taste. Pretty innovative though.
3. Scott Storch - Among my favourites, but to say that he's innovative, is a offence to Dre.
He basically snatched Dres style, and experiments with it.
Nuthin wrong in trying to be like Dre though..
I would like to add Alchemist to the list of innovative producers.

Hi-Tek
The Neptunes
Timbaland

no one really
everyone is either poorly trying to make the hip hop version of "revolver" with all the mid eastern music
or trying to do a 3rd generation jock of kraftverk via afrika bambata
either that or they're just releasing crap that appeals to the simplminded
-
all of those 3 producers are nowhere near the most innovative producers at the moment, that award belongs to Madlib (of Lootpack) and if you don't know who he is buy "The Unseen" by Quasimoto, that album will fuck u up.
-
The most innovative right now in my opinion is Chief Xcel, his production on Blazing Arrow is some of the most diverse hip hop I've heard in a while.

Blazing Arrow's a dope-as-hell(!) album; it's good so see someone else who appreciates it.
