Ne-Yo's third Def Jam album has been pushed back from its original June 24th release date and he's hoping to keep fans connected with a new blog.
Year of the Gentleman is now due out later this summer, August 5th, while the R&B singer/producer works on more tracks. The album features production from Christopher "Tricky" Stewart, Stargate, and J.R. Rotem.
To keep the buzz around his project Ne-Yo is blogging at www.yearofthegentleman.com.
"I wanted the third album to be something a little different from the first and second as far as the essence and the sound of what I was doing," Ne-Yo told Billboard.
The lead single, "Closer," was produced by Stargate and is currently No. 54 on the Billboard Hot 100 and No. 41 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Ne-Yo is currently touring with Alicia Keys.
