y'all probably know that 'isley brothers - voyage to atlantis' was sampled for snoop's 'press play' record, but if you aint heard the original then check out the full version of it here (a lot of versions of this track you'll find are shorter but missing out one of the key parts that quiks lifted near the end). i was hella impressed at the way quik flipped it all.
there's the different melodies, drums and even those female sounding vocals that fade in and out on pretty much the whole of 'press play' - you can hear where all those sounds came from 8)

I especially liked waht has been done on the EP of Rodg on the famous jungle records label (mr.x) produced by Quicny Jones III
laidback gfunk shit for real..the funky guitar is fucking awesome.
