Finally saw this, watched it on Blu-Ray and I don't even know what to say. What a brilliant movie, the ending is still tripping me out and I am a bit confused by it but what a amazing movie this. I didn't even comprehend that their was no music throughout the movie until the very end, absolutely incredible. I believe the ending is designed to be interpreted in different ways and I don't completely get it and I believe that is the way it was supposed to be. All in all great movie, will be buying this for sure.

That ending was the only way they could've done it. What if Tommy Lee Jone's character killed Chigur? It would be the most predictable ending, and the way almost every crime story ends.
The ending wasn't the greatest, but it's the only ending that would've worked. The movie wasn't meant to be simple, nor have a simple resolution. Only people who don't appreciate good material wanted to see a final showdown between the main characters. Most real life stories don't have simple resolutions, why does every movie need to have one?
It's fitting that the best movie of 2007 won the Academy Award. "There will be Blood" was probably the second best movie, but the story lagged a lot. If this movie is "average" then what in the last 5 years was classic? "Crash"? "Training Day"? All those other over-rated films over the last while.
Their are so many crappy movies these days, 95% should not even be made. And when a well acted, well written, original movie like this comes along, people complain because it didn't end like every other movie they've just seen.
