Ok, i'mma be real, I never said Soopafly is the best lyricist, but he's the best all around package as far as production, bitch checkin, lyrics, hoe slappin, and flow.  Now if you are asking me who I think are some better lyricists than Soopafly, i'd have to say 2Pac of course, he was the only person who could touch Soopafly on a 'total package' level.  Then i'd have to say Crooked I, DOC, and Kurupt (pre-2000) are/were better lyricists.  But none of them can make consistant hits like Fly...Fly just churns out bangers one after another.  And what I like about him is that he won't just jump on anything.  He's been in the rap game like 15 years and only has about 160 songs, that's pretty good when you think about it.  Kurupt makes more songs than that in one year.  I see Bad Lucc and Damani getting on all these shitty rapper's beats, and I just thank God Soopafly stays away from that kind of stuff, as I don't want it to dilute his catalog any.

but dont you think bein in the game for that long, bein a dope producer/rapper that he should have "churned" out double if not triple that number of songs?
that jus aint or dont sound good enuff for someone as dope as he is!
kurupt puts more out a gang of traccs per year, they all might not be dope, but hes a dope lyricist, so he needs to be droppin heat

and how about:
I mean you dont think some of these are better than ya boy?
jayo>>>soopafly
ice cube>>>soopafly
dj quik>>>>soopafly (lyrically and production wise)
doc>>>soopafly (i agree wit this one)
kurupt>>>soopafly (right now hes spittin heat, you cant deny that so he still can produce heat)
and crooked I >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>soopafly (still dont understand why crooked didnt answer him from the lil diss he threw at him)
maybe xzibit>>>soopafly
rbx>>>>soopafly
mc ren>>>>soopafly

and theres prolly more for this list!

So you're saying it's better to make 1000 songs and have 30 be good and the rest crap, rather then only making 40 songs and having 20 be good?  I mean, look at the percentages there.  Fly has 162 songs in 15 years, that's just telling me he's being selective.  He's not just going to throw a bunch of bullshit songs out there unless he thinks they are good enough, and I respect that.

Jayo Felony is in NO WAY even close to being as good as Soopafly.  Listen to the song "Hurt That Nigga" by Jayo and Soopafly and you tell me who outshined whom.  Jayo couldn't even keep on beat on that song, and fly spit classic lyrics like making a bitch sleep in the yard.  Jayo Felony sucks.

Ice Cube back in 88-96 could have maybe had a run at being as good as Soopafly, but not now, that dude is wack now.  The last good CD he had was Lethal Injection.  You seen the movie Are We There Yet?  Come on, dude's a sell out now...not like Soopafly, he keeps it real.

DJ Quik - he's nearly as good as Fly on the production tip, i'll give you that...but you were asking about lyrics, and he's not as good as Fly.  But Quik is one of my favorites though....except this year he's released some awful stuff (Fixxers and his 2 new tracks)...he needs to get back to the smooth stuff.

DOC is equally as good as Fly lyrically, but not as a whole package.

Kurupt - I don't care for his new laid back song...we'll see if he can get "it" back, cause he's sucked the last few years.  Fly's outshined him since 98...so we'll see on that one.

Crooked I - better lyricist, he's got no production to back him though, that's his problem.  He sounds the best spitting on other people's tracks (Hip Hop Weekly)  Whenever he tries to make his own stuff (Boom Boom Clap, NWA, etc), it sucks.

Xzibit, RBX, and MC Ren...you're joking right?  None of those dudes are even close to Soopafly, not in the same atmosphere as The Man.  Xzibit's only good album was Restless, when Dre was behind the boards, RBX hasn't released anything good since the Chronic and Eastcoast/Westcoast Killaz (once again Dre produced).  And MC Ren has sucked since NWA broke up.

Soopafly is better than all them man, and he gets sucked off by at least 4 bitches in a club every night, none of those other guys can do that.  And his pimp hands are really hard too.

I rather see Soopafly release more material. I dig his music.

Yeah, i feel you.  I wish Fly released more stuff too...15 years and two albums, neither of which are exactly in every store.....but at the same time, i'm glad he ain't jumpin on all these remixes and wack songs either.

but I mean lyricaly IMO
jayo
ice cube
dj quik
xzibit
mc ren
kam (ahh shit i forgot about og kam)
these vets are better than soopafly
you gott be honest witcha self, its all good but be real wit he the rest of the world!

as you said 15 years=2 albums
and that dont even mean the albums are classic, but your a soopafly fan so you gon say they are, but are they really classic releases?
and damn 15 years 2 albums, and a gang of guest features, thats wacc?

but your sayin hes a dope rapper, so why not release more muzik?yeah kurupt releases a gang of material but puttin the wacc releases and traccs aside hes been puttin out some heat lately, and overall were talkin here in the years theyve been in the game
kurupt>>>>soopafly!!!

and btw, were you feelin that can you control your hoe that he did on R&G?

xzibit restless dope album, classic but could have been better IMO
but i liked it, maybe even the soopafly produced traccs
but that new xzibit tracc might shit on what soopafly has done lately

but I was feelin soopafly's work on dpgc you know what im throwin up
IMO that was some of his best recent work
and that doggystyle all stars joint was cool
but why not more muzik, if your that dope?

but yeah rbx, mc ren IMO are better lyrically and as far as a rapper than soopafly.
"they have a better package" than soopafly
not that its bad but maybe not a good idea for too long but soopafly's style is too laid bacc, and now snnops tryin it looks like

That's cool, everyone has their own opinion, but how can you say RBX is better than Soopafly?? Come on!  I've got 3 RBX CDs: The RBX-Filez, Ripp Tha Game Bloody, and his debut album, and none of the songs on any of those albums come close to being as good as Soopafly's stuff.

Dat Woopty Woop was a Westcoast classic, bar none.  Bangin Westcoast was decent, but I think it was too thrown together at the last minute, it had about 6 awesome tracks on it, and a bunch of decent ones, but not enough to be considered a classic.

Here's my original review:
19.   Can You Control Your Ho (Rhythm and Gangsta – Snoop Dogg)
Finally we get to another song where Soopa does what he does best, and that’s ride on these hoes.  We got some classic lines here, like “I never met a bitch that a pimp can’t slap”.  Fly goes to his friend’s house, in which his friend is getting chewed out by his bitch, and Soopa can’t believe the dude is just sitting there and taking it and doing nothing.  If that ever happens to Soopafly, he just gets up and slaps her face and cold cocks her, which is what should be done.  So fly’s waiting for the dude to stand up and do something, and he does nothing, how pathetic.  Soopa sings this song moreso than rapping.  I usually don’t care for Soopafly’s singing type songs, but in this case, it works out great.  Even Snoop comes hard on the hoes on this song, which he usually doesn’t do these days, since now he just kisses his wife’s ass left and right.  Of couse, Soopafly comes way harder on the hoes than snoop does in this song.  The lyrics are pure comedy…the beat is average though.  Rating 7/10

yeah everyones got they own opinion
aite thats cool that you think soopafly>>>>rbx
I think no mercy, no remorse is a classic album
the production and rbx flow on that album is crazy like a muthafucka

reason I asked about that soopa tracc is cuz i actually liked that
crazy thing was, I liked the tracc but didnt know nor did I expect for it to be soopa doin the singin!
but its dope!

again all im sayin is overall, if soopafly is dope he should have released, way more material!

and you prolly have no info on the welcome to mayhem album daz/fly were posed to do right?
(that was when fly/daz were beefin wit kurupt and I think it was posed to be them goin at kurupt)

Rating 7/10

I think RBX's debut album was his best, followed by no mercy, no remourse.  The rest of his albums that I have heard have been horrible.

Here's my original review of introduction to mayhem:
78.   Introduction To Mayhem (DPGC U Know What I’m Throwin Up – Daz)
This song was not on the original version of DPGC U Know What I’m Throwin Up.  Daz had the original album ready to go, then Suge released it on the Death Row website for free download.  It was a pretty funny move.  It caused Daz to delay the album a few weeks and add new songs and Snoop interludes to entice people to go out and buy the album after the original leak.  I remember something about Daz wanting to release a rock/rap album and I bet this song was supposed to be on it, but he took it and released it on the DPGC album instead.  The beat on here sucks.  I can’t even tell what Soopafly is rapping about in this one, as the beat is just so distracting.  I guess we can thank Suge for getting to hear this song, as it wouldn’t have been released on this CD if it wasn’t for him, but it is not good at all.  Sounds like it was made in about 2 minutes.  Rating 1/10.

Soopafly is better than all them man, and he gets sucked off by at least 4 bitches in a club every night, none of those other guys can do that.  And his pimp hands are really hard too.

Classic Soopafly DPGC
