I personally wouldn't mind seeing either one. That said, I'd prefer the Celtics, a.)because they'll be easier and b.)because of the great history between LA-Boston. I mean, the match-up would be something else. The fact that this Finals has the potential to take place is so astonishing that I'd think it were rigged if the Lakers weren't constantly screwed by the refs. Shits like a cycle that keeps repeating itself. Bob Cousy vs Elgin Baylor. John Havlicek vs. Jerry West. Russell vs. Chamberlain. Magic/Kareem/Worthy vs. Larry/Mchale/DJ...and now Kobe/Odom/Gasol vs Pierce/Allen/KG. shit would be crazy. On the other hand, I wouldn't mind facing the Pistons either. I don't fear them at all, but they'd definitely be a tougher match-up than Boston. Taking Detroit out would also be pretty sweet...I mean, we've taken them out back in the 80's, but they got us back...and they did it again in 2004. We have some retaliation to handle with Detroit, so that would be cool as well...Either way, I'm just happy that the Lakers are back in the finals. So who would you prefer, muufuckaz?

boston
-
either one but i really would love to shut the boston nutriders up
-
either one is fine with me..... they'll be facing a Lakers team that has drastically improved since they last played them.
-
Defiantly the Celtics. A classic match up that will make the Celtic fans hope back off the bandwagon.

if the drastically improved lakers lose by 39 in the clincher and blow a 24 point lead at home even tho they have the mvp, how much worse can this sissy team get?

they were a drastically improved team. even you had predicted them to fall out of the number 1 spot back in Jan. yet they were able to adjust and go beyond expectations by winning the Western Conference. So yes.... they were a better team since the last time that Boston & Detroit played them in the season.
now... they fell apart as we all know during the Finals... but I believe that was more mental than skill. skillwise, they were a much improved team than before.

they did drastically improve. even you had predicted that they would slide to the cellar back in January. but they adjusted and improved as a team and won the Western Conference.
now they did fall apart in the finals, but I believe that was a mental slip up as opposed to skill. blowouts happen to good and even great teams. Utah got blown out by 40 + and they were a great team led by Malone & Stockton. Elway got blown away in the Super Bowl against the Niners. Hell....even Reggie Jackson struck out 4 times in a single game. that stuff can happen to anybody....
