He's probably the richest rapper, trailing only Puffy and Jay Z... Believe me, he hasn't made any money off music in the last 5-6 years, it's all made off his various business enterprises.

Dude was always more a business man than a rapper, I remember he was one of the first to really heavily advertise other shit in albums, like everyone elses' albums on the label, etc, they had a great marketing thing going
I read somewhere recently he is worth $400-500 million

Did you have a TV/radio, or go to the record store, when he was on top? He was all over the place!
He sold about 10 million of his own albums, Silkk The Shocker sold over 3 million, C-Murder sold over 6 million, Mystikal sold over 3 million, Snoop sold 4 million while he was on No Limit
Then he did lots of other shit like clothing lines, movies, all types of ventures, loads of investments
He kind of came out at a time where there was a gap in the market, 2pac had been killed, there wasn't really much coming out, so he took gangsta shit and ran with it, just pumping out loads of product, and everyone bought it up because there wasn't a lot else coming out of that kind of thing

Yeah, he hustled hard, I don't know the figure, but No Limit was making a lot of money per CD sale.

why does NL have more money than RAP-A-LOT?
-
why this topic is on the west coast section of the board ? ::)

U gotta love this man. Personally think he's still rich. He's entertainer and artist in different ways. He has made a lot of money back in No Limit days. He came from nothing, now he's everything. Just try to remember that ol' than oldest No Limit shit. I mean ''I'm Going Big Time'', Sonya C - ''Married To the Mob'', TRU - ''Who's Da Killer''... He used to have no money. Now, he is (or he was) the richest rapper on the Earth.
Yeah I know, he started to put mainly weak records after 2001. But he's the man. He didn't need Dr.Dre, like weak-ass 50 Cent. He got himself, he was smart and successful. By the way he put out at least three classics - Ice Cream Man, Ghetto D and MP Da Last Don.
I'm not a fuckin' dickrider or something, but I'll respect this man, altho I don't like his clean lyrics in these days.
... sure that No Limit had better artists - his younger brother C-Murder, Mac, Soulja Slim (Rest In Peace), etc.

why this topic is on the west coast section of the board ? ::)
Why not? No Limit started in Richmond, CA.

does he still play for the Charlotte Hornets ?
-
does he still play for the Charlotte Hornets ?
No. He stayed there for a while, but it was way back then 1998 or 1999, I predict.
-
does he still play for the Charlotte Hornets ?
You kidding? NOBODY plays for the Charlotte Hornets.
