A big loss for Italy I can imagine...
Italy suffered a scare in their first training session at their base in Modling, Austria on Monday when captain Fabio Cannavaro suffered an injury to his left ankle which required immediate attention in hospital.
Chiellini tackle
The 34-year-old Real Madrid CF centre-back, capped 116 times by the Azzurri, sustained the knock following a tackle by fellow defender Giorgio Chiellini and was carried off the field on a stretcher. Italy doctor Paolo Zeppilli said: "We have to do tests but it does not look like a minor injury. It takes at least 12 hours to understand the full extent of an injury like this. The first thing we need to assess is if there is any damage to the bones."

LOL.. we're the reigning 2006 FIFA World Cup Champions. We don't need excuses. This team will be hella different from the one who won that competition in Germany. No Cannavaro, no Nesta, no Totti.. this one is a younger team with players at their first international experience. We're trying to rebuild. And, by the way, nobody in Italy believes we will win it all anyway. Cause even the manager has no international experience at all.
If i tell you Antonio Di Natale will be our starting n.10 you won't even believe me.
About Cannavaro... yeah.. extremely big loss, cause we lack good central defenders at the moment (apart from Giorgio Chiellini)
