^^ The Bass Line on that Track is so Smoooooooooooooth!!
'On The Blvrd' is nice!
;The wash' was like the next phase to 'Nothing but G-thang'
-
much beter then on the blv
-
I think its a classic. That was a great period of time in west coast rap. The Wash or On the Blvd? man the west had heat during that time..
-
much beter then on the blv
classic.
-
Classic.
-
anybody know if they sampled " smiling faces " and or " its the time of the season" or both? check out all three songs notice the similarites. i think its a classic for sure , i played it out in my 86 regal back in the day!
-
Classic. Would have been the perfect single to the Break Up To Make Up duo album if it would have dropped. The Wash song> The entire movie
-
This was like an end to an era after this nothin bullshit started up on the westcoast
-
5/5 joint. bangin
-

The Wash iz a spectacular classic no dout!
-
I thought the movie was kinda cool....its true that not much good stuff on the westcoast came out on a worldwide level after this.
ONLY GAME AND THE FEW SNOOP RECORDS THAT WERE PRETTY POP.
-
Great song, but it's not on the level of other songs by these two. It's not a classic.
-
Snoops 1st verse was good, thats when Snoop Doggy Dogg came back for a minute. that era after Tha Last Meal. its classic so was "On the Blvd" but i can say i was very very disappointed with The Wash OST. i remember it was suppose to be all Snoop & Dre songs. i thinkit was orinally called Make Ups To Break Ups or something
-
Classic? That word gets thrown around way too much. It was a cool song, but the raps wasn't nothin special at all, and the beat is just an interpolation. Its not bad but its far from classic.
-
absolutely a classic
I play this all the time
Dre and Pooh couldn't have laced a better instrumental
-
This was like an end to an era after this
yup, if you looked at a timetable you'd see that after this came the west vibe dissappeared
-
It's really good. I think it's weird how Snoop advertises "Snoop Dogg Clothing" in it.
-
Now back to the lecture at hand
Perfection is expected and I'm feelin that demand
Los Ang, broad day gunnin
That ain't no earthquake it's just Dre comin
If this shit ain't played, the party ain't bumpin
If I don't show up, the ho's ain't fuckin
Cali sunshine, come visit
Just don't stop at stop signs with bullet holes in it
All Star league, you writin Benjamins
I handles my business, FUCK fake niggas
I sell game a quarter million a track
Snoop and the good Doc back with a brand new sack
My fav part of that track...I was bangin' this hard in 01 and 02 - Dre really killed it beatwise and lyricwise...wish Detox could sound like this...
-

Co-sign, it sounded a bit rushed, like it was trying hard to be G Thang part 2 - it sampled the same song as that did, the Leon Haywood joint, so to me it felt like they kind of put it together real quick... though the rhymes were dope
Also the thing that made G Thang and The Chronic hot was that it sounded old and smoked out like 70s tracks because of the sampling and any replaying was keeping with that vibe - with The Wash the replaying sounded too clean and digital and crisp in my opinion - I like Dre's newer beats where shit is mad sharp and clear, but for that sample they got replayed it didn't have the right feel
-
Straight up classic song! 8)
-

-
hell muithafuckin yes, great way 2 close out a great fuckin soundtrack 8)
-
i can name 25-30 better Dre-Snoop collabos
-
Absolutely a classic. This song is in my top 10 made after the Year 2000. They should have pushed this song, its got a Nuthin But A G Thang (Part 2) vibe to it.
-
Love that Dr.Dre's verse. Kills me everytime.
-
and the beat is just an interpolation.
and why is that such a bad thing?
-
i love this song but to me it doesnt hold wait against true classic cuts like Still Dre, Nuthin But a G Thang and Gin & Juice. That soundtrack had some dope tracks like Holla, Truck Volume etc. Wish Dre would do more projects like that where he doesnt have worry about the soundtrack being a certified classic and he can just make good music...

From what I see...the song had the potential to at least be a West Coast classic, if not nationwide...but it didn't get much push at all, and I can't remember hearing it on the radio since 2001.
I thought it was the 2nd coming of "Nothin but a G thang", and if it had been on Chronic 2001, then woooooooooooooow...and even if it was on Last Meal or somethin else, it woulda got pushed more. I don't even think people outside the West even knew much or cared about the song like that...Bad intentions was everywhere, but this song didn't get out, mainly because it had no video.

Definitely should of had 1. That is the reason to me why it aint a classic, they should have released as a single.
