That's the rumor going around - apparently (i saw apparently because i didnt hear it myself) Alfa Mega and Greg Street confirmed it on the radio. If that's true, great fuckin news and grand hustle easily has one of the best lineups as a sub-label owned by an artist.
T.I.
8Ball & MJG
Young Dro
BOB (got a lotta buzz, just signed)
Alfa Mega
Big Kuntry
Mac Boney (probably wont ever drop an album, but man is dude under rated)
DJ Drama
Yung LA (makin noise with "aint i")
JR Get Money
-
why would anyone sign to grand hustle. theres a .0000000001% of them dropping an album
dro got lucky
-
Only good artists on Grand Hustle IMO:
Tip

Ok, let me analyze these artists real quick...
T.I. -> must have good production to make a good song
8Ball & MJG -> veterans... I wouldn't buy an album of them, but they're alright
Young Dro -> WACK
BOB -> I haven't heard too much of him, but the songs that I did hear are alright
Alfa Mega -> WACK
Big Kuntry -> not as bad as Alfa Mega, but still WACK
Mac Boney -> never heard of him
DJ Drama -> not as bad as DJ Khaled
Yung LA -> never heard of him
JR Get Money -> never heard of him
-
your entitled to your own opinion, but NO WAY alfa mega is worse than big kuntry :-\
-
isnt bg grand hustle too?
how does ti get all these artists? he's only gotten two grand hustle cds in stores (in da streets 4 and dros album)
luda got 2 dtp albums, 2 bobby v joints, and the duffle bag boys in stores. and yet his roster is so much worse

BG is not technically signed to grand hustle but closely affiliates with them, has grand hustle handle some of his duties (promotional wise and tour shows) but isn't signed to a formal contract with them (also good friends with TI, TI exec. prod. his album)
TI has put out 5 cd's - dro, in da streets 4, dj drama, governor and psc
-
oh snap
didnt realize drama was grand hustle, and psc was ages ago.
was the governor album any good? I never even heard anything about it

^Yea the Governor album kinda went under the radar...haven't checked it out yet
-
yeah governor did go under the radar, but he did have a single with a video out - just didnt catch on i guess.
the album is pretty decent, powerful r&b voice.
-
that's wassup... they can make better music over there than at Bad Boy

exactly, that shit diddy did with them WAS NOT that Ball & G shit they usually came with. he gave them some of the same shit danity kane sings on

^yea for real, livin legends is a personal classic but that "ridin high" was TRASH :-X
-
yeah Living Legends was dope but on Ridin' High I can only fuck with "Relax & Take Notes", "Ridin' High", "Turn Up The Bump", "Cruzin'", "Watchu Gonna Do", "Runnin' Out Of Bud", "Clap On", and "Pimpin' Don't Fail Me Now"
-

Ridin High was aight, but not marketed to the die hard MJG/8Ball fan. Hell now that I think about it, it was not marketed at all. The beats really did not fit them.
-
i didnt htink ridin high was that bad. it had a few missteps but if you combine the best of their two bad boy albums you get a near classic
-
yea ridin high wasnt marketed at all and definitely wasnt really meant for the hardcore ball & g fans like myself.

Totally agree. But "Relax and take notes", "Turn up the bump" and "Watchu gonna do" are all bangers. 8)
