Pretty much exactly what both of you said.."5 on It" was a major hit for the west, and he has been one of the better rappers over the last decade, but not enough to where everybody notices his moves. I guess it depends on what defines a "legend".

His verse on the track "Heat" (UGA 2) alone makes him a dope solo artist. To me he's a westcoast legend, he may borrow too many lines from other rappers sometimes (Jay-Z, Biggie and Pac, Weezy lately) but he has real lyrical talent.

Yukmout is not a legend, but neither is 2pac, Cube or Anybody by themselves, but they all played a huge roll...WIthout Yuk, west wouldnt have that South feel to it, that party Jam shit, without 2pac West Wouldnt have that thug Religious, humble but vengefull rap at the same time, without Cube, West Would be those 2 mentioned before but wouldnt have that Political Racial shit, without Game west Wouldnt have that hardheaded, Gangsta but Hiphoped Up at the same time Beef flow and battle abilities. without Snoop, West Wouldnt be that chill out, Pimped out, eazy going Flow, Without Eazy niggaz wouldnt be saying bitch is a bitch, and all that, without Dre niggaz mentioend above would be doing acappelas, wihtout Spider loc and 40 glock, West Would  never have 2 wack ass dumb ass retarded Bums that would Tatto anything u would tell them to for 500 bux...

Title: Re: Is Yukmouth considered a Westcoast legend?

the olny reason y yuk is not considered a west koast legend is kause he beefs/disses peoples favorite rappers like....
....... too short/game/master p/g-unit/scarface/afroman/daz n snoop/badazz/.....who did i forget kause i kno i forgot other people.....but besides the beef and disses he should be considered a legend... i do and thats my opinion...
why is he a legend?
1-lyrics are krazy (from oh boy!, you love to have)
2-story telling skills are great (revelations, like father like son, thuglord outro....)
3-diss tracks although controversial he can hold it down (breath, somebody gon die tonite, spray ya self...)
4-flow is untouchible (nothing to a boss, kali g's,
5-he makes dope albums with do[pe features like...Mac Dre RIP, Crooked I, C-Bo, Kurupt, Daz, Nate Dogg, Scarface, Cj Mac,              Easwood, Planet Asia, TechN9ne, and the list keeps goin
 6-it keeps goin y he a legend

I used to like Yuk back in my middle school years ('93-'95), but dude is trash now IMHO. Can you guys explain to me what makes him so lyrical? Inserting "nigga" or "playboy" after every word???
