Another week has passed, which means it's time for another Weekend Audio update on dubcnn! We have several goodies for ya'll this time around, including a new Game track off "YouKnowWhatItIs Vol. 5", a Nate Dogg collaboration with Bozak Black Sox, a new solo joint by Billy Danze of M.O.P. and more.
Let's jump right into it with a The Game and his new artist X.O., who is none other than the artist formerly known as Scipio. He dissapeared for a minute and is now returning as a part of the CMC (Cali Murda Crew) on Black Wall Street under the name X.O..
To get a first taste of what you can expect, check out "I Dare You", a new collaboration between Game and X.O., off the upcoming "YouKnowWhatItIs Vol. 5" mixtape coming soon:
The Game - I Dare You (ft. X.O.) (http://www.dubcnm.com/audio/2008/june/the_game_ft_xo-i_dare_you-(dubcnn).mp3)
Next up is a track by the Bozak Black Sox aka Bozak Trybe, a West Coast ensemble consisting of Doe-Boy, Rhyme Slik, & Coolie High. They hooked up with Nate Dogg for their new single "Life", produced by Lab Ratz. No word on whether this was recorded prior to Nate's stroke or not. What I do know is that this is a certified banger and not to be slept on - Nate at his finest! It's off the new mixtape "Get Da Bozak Vol. 1", check it out:
Bozak Black Sox - Life (ft. Nate Dogg) (Prod. by Lab Ratz) (http://www.dubcnm.com/audio/2008/june/bozak_black_sox_ft_nate_dogg-life-(dubcnn).mp3)
Let's get to Tha Crow, the Loud.com $100,000 contest winner from Los Angeles, who beat out 9 finalists and over 20,000 tracks submitted. He got his check handed to him live on Power 106 this past week, and with his new record deal on SRC/Universal Records, he's eager to start pumping music out there. He's got a street single out there called "Dippin' Low Lows" which we have available for you to check out:
Tha Crow - Dippin' Low Lows (http://www.dubcnm.com/audio/2008/june/tha_crow-dippin_low_lows-(dubcnn).mp3)
We have a new joint by Billy Danze of M.O.P. called "Savages" that's fire. The high energy production uses the same sample as the Madlib produced Talib Kweli track "The Show". This keeps us hoping for a new M.O.P. album or solo projects from Lil Fame and Billy Danze. The duo also recently appeared on "Freestyle 101" over at g4tv.com to drop a few verses, check that out by clicking here.

Next we have a new track by Bay Area rapper Ya Boy. It's called "Wide Open" and is off the "Black Wall Street Radio Pt. 4" mixtape by DJ Haze and Nu Jerzey Devil. However, the version on the mixed was not mixed and mastered yet, and the producer of the track Infra Red just sent over the final mix of "Wide Open", which you can download below. Ya Boy's latest mixtape "I'm Bout To Murdah This Sh-t" with Digital Product also got reviewed in the latest Source magazine issue with Game on the cover, check that out here.

Last, but not least is something for all the smooth jazz lovers. I'm talking about an instrumental track off jazz musician Norman Brown's latest album "Stay With Me". The track is a collaboration with Seattle producers Dow Jones and J-Hen aka Tha Bizness. They produced the track, while Norman Brown plays the guitar on it. If you're looking for some relaxing sounds to chill to, it doesn't get any better than this:

Before we go the dubcnn staff would like to say Happy Birthday to O'Shea Jackson aka Ice Cube, who turned 39 today!
-
I'm likin' the Bozak track wit Nate 8) ; chill..
Happy BIRFDAY Ice Cube!
-
Yeah man Nate Dogg really did his thing on the song, it's good to hear his voice!
I'm really feeling that Norman Brown instrumental track, that's some great stuff to smoke to!

Yeah man I'm a huge George Benson fan and when I heard that Norman Brown had a similar style I had to check his stuff out, I've been listening to him for a while and I had never realized that Tha Bizness worked on the last album until Dow Jones sent the track over earlier.
-
Dope, Nima. I don't think I've heard Benson's music either so I've got a lot of listening ahead of me.
I'm surprised about the Bizness doing work with him as well. Good shit though.
Can you recommend any of Benson's material?
-
props on the tracks
-
the ya boy track sounds like clyde carson's DOING THAT
-
Sick! Another classic Weekend Update! Props nima!

I guess just download a Greatest Hits album or something, I'm positive you'll realize you know a lot of the tracks cause it's typipical movie music and/or bar music.

Yeah I thought that as well, although the Doin' Dat beat was doper to me.

Bozak Black Sox - Life (ft. Nate Dogg)
Nate Dogg is great on this track. This is much, much better than those other (terrible) Bozak Trybe joints.
Billy Danze - Savages
I'm usually not really into the type of hip hop M.O.P. makes, but this is a good song. Well produced track.
The Game - I Dare You (ft. X.O.)
I played this once and won't play it a second time, unless I will listen to that mixtape.
Ya Boy - Wide Open
What's so special about Ya Boy? I don't see it.
Tha Crow - Dippin' Low Lows
:puke:
Norman Brown - Dr. Feel Good
Thank you, doctor :-* You cured me from those three joints above.
-
Nima props for the Nate Dogg and Game's songs

I'm talking about "Gangsta" w/ T-Hud and "My Block" (prod. by Mannie Fresh). "Still..." is a song that was recorded for his Cash Money album. It's one of my personal favorite TQ songs.

That's a Pretty Smooth Beat
I'm not sure if TQ did a good job on it though, but it's a Nice Track!!
His rendition of Hotel California is Nice too. But it does not touch the OG though!
The rest of the Tracks are real smooth, Glad to Hear that he is still doing Music!!
