Title: Sky TV Can you get it without a satellite dish

Buying a flat at the mo and just found out i cant put up a satellite dish, is it possible to get sky without one ?

Nope i dont think so, it needs to route to a dish somewhere! Why cant you have one? It a block of flats? surely demand for sky these days should enable a group of owners to come together and demand one?

its a shared ownership scheme and basically think they dont want people attaching stuff to the side of the house (i think). Thinking of getting a tripod type thing and putting it in the garden all depends which way it needs to point though !!!

yeh, pretty sure you need a dish. i thought that the whole of England had to be digital by 2012... surely that'd mean everyone needs to get a dish, right?

nah you could have cable. or just freeview (which is picked up like analogue tv but a digital signal).

I think Virgin Media gives you most of the channels that are on Sky.

Lmao nope. I've got the XL package i think. Or the L package. All i know is, if it's Sky, we ain't got it.

all i want is sky sports i dont care about the other channel, looks like the only way i can do it is through a dish.

Just found you can get them, you have to pay extra though I think.

There's really nothing else worth having other than the sports channels seeing as most of the other stuff on TV is pish and you can get it elsewhere.
