Diplomatic Immunity 1 (both discs)  might be the best rap album of all time.  I have heard even the biggest Dipset haters admit that the first Diplomatic Immunity album is legendary.  Perfect, flawless album 8)

I've never thought Dipset was all that great at all.

The closest Dipset's ever had to a really good album is Cam's "Come Home With Me", and that's about a 4 (out of 5) star album at most. Just about everything else they've put out is boring or simply wack as fuck.

Haven't checked that album, not big into Dipset ither but 'Purple Haze' is fuckin' impressive. The beats on there is straight gold. Straight bangerz! That album is off the chains. Deadly tracks on that disc.

I thought the second CD was reaaaaaally good but the first one kinda lacked.  This was right about the time when they became to have that killer beat selection...

Dips were dope w/ Heatmakerz.  Diplomatic Immunity was a pretty good double, but there was a lotta filler remix's and shit.

Beats were like a 9 outta 10.  Cam was dope on pretty much everything he popped up on.  Hell Rell was nice, Jimmy was decent, and Juelz sounded retarded most of the time.

man juelz was that young nigga who brought mad energy.
jimmy came through better than decent- especially on "real niggas" eye felt that coming from inside.
hell rell- smashed it

one thing eye always thought they did they ting on was them adlibs (thats what they call that?) when they say shit in the background, always thought that shit was funny. they always saying some comedy shit in the background.

eye can always dig through my shit and smash out to "dipset anthem" in the whip

Eli Porter smashed that I really mean it beat.

but yeah they pretty much were the only clique out who had a personality, most rappers are tools.

What killed Dipset the movement imo, was the overexposure, and the constant expanding of the click Dipset.

Yeah.. as a rap group they were solid with Jim, Juelz and Killa.   As a label they were solid with Zekey and Rell in the mix..

When they started to add ppl like Un Kasa and JR Writer and Jha Jha it was sorta like "nah we only want u guys, dont try to bring sum new cats up cuz we dont wanna hear them"..  At least thats how I felt.

No I hear you.  Juelz did bring energy, but he just wasn't nearly as tight as Cam on the freestyle shit.  "Real Niggas" was dope, I like the way they flipped the sample, maybe even better than "Mo Murder, Mo Homicide" on Az's debut.
