Umm... It means he put the verses of the track in order, made the beat, recorded, and could've wrote and could've mastered the track. Basically he oversaw everything that had to do with the track.

Now if you're asking about like executive producers of albums, thats a little more explaining but basically the same thing.

a music producer has many roles..

- controlling the recording sessions
- coaching and guiding the musicians
- organizing and scheduling production budget and resources
- supervising the recording
- mixing and mastering the recording

A producer is a lot more important then someone who just makes beats. Timbaland, Dre, Quik are producers, people like Storch just make the beats. Producers put the track together basically.

an waht do rappers do?just rap?
does a prod. decide "this verse comes after this, you take this, to musicians: play that, play this?", what does a artist do then?lol just openin the mouth and rap?
f.e.: i am a rapper: i like the "?" song and i have the idea to sample it, i write 4 verses and i know: first is for me, 2nd for mc b, 3nd for mc b, the last is for me too.does it mean I PRODUCED the song without ever touching a drum-machine,computer,keyboards,etc.?

mixing is used for sound recording, audio editing, and sound systems to balance the relative volume, frequency, and dynamic content of a number of sound sources.

typically, these sound sources are the different musical instruments.

- supervised and controlled the finances
- engineered the recording
- modified and arranged lyrics, verse order, and directed the rappers in which way to flow with the track
- probably wrote some of it
- created, shaped and molded the song in accordance with their vision for the song/album
