SO I was at my man's cafe and the radio was on.They played a fuckin' great version of It's A Man's World, which I would categorize as a rock version (Rainbow, Deep Purple, Led Zeppellin type rock). It was a male singer who sang and the joint was incredible
Sound familiar? All my searches resulted to nothing, and I really want this gem

it's a possibility that it isn't It's A Man's WOrld, but what else would it be since they were singing "...nothing without a woman or a girl"?

My 2nd favorite version of this song is by the Grateful Dead. Not sure if it's the one you're looking for, but either way it's 9 minutes of classic rock awesomeness. Enjoy.

muthafuckaz played that shit again last night and I managed to record part of the song with a mobile phone.I'll up it as soon as I can
I took a closer listen this time, lyrics are exactly the same, but the production/arrangement of the song was sooo good, it ain't real. And the man who sings has a GREAT voice
-
Might be the version that is on "Tribb to JB" by The Peeps of SOULfunk. It's a tribute CD that Chuck D put out with covers of James Brown songs by people on his Slamjamz label. It's pretty tight. Has Chuck himself on a lot of the songs but they are mostly by Kyle Jason and The Banned. Even if it isn't version check it out, worth the money...or download if that's your thing.

thx man, we did indeed record it with a Sony Ericsson, but the phone doesn't have TRack ID.I'm tellin' you tho, if we can't identify the track in the next few days, I buyin' or doing whtever I have to do to get that Track ID program.
my friend has problems with upping the snippet on his PC, so you'll have to wait a little more for it

I FOUND THAT SHIT!!!!!
It's by a group called Grand Funk Railroad, from their 14th studio album What's Funk (1983).I'll up the song as soon as I find a good version, I was surprised to see youtube didn't have it
but I'm telling y'all, it's awesomeness and piffness at the same time, and at it's highest.Such a great track

Nah man, I just asked at the official forum of the Radio that played the song, and the response came in just minutes.
I suspect white boy is goind to love this version, judging from some of his posts about non hip-hop music. How do you like it Chad?
(I myself can't stop bumping it)
