Will Smith has done it again.
The rapper turned actor best known for numerous summer blockbusters is on pace to take in $100 million during the first week of his latest anti-hero movie, Hancock.
Opening day figures for the film—which has garnered mixed reviews from critics—grossed an estimated $40 million dollars coming into July 4.
In addition to another big opener for Smith, he’s gotten other uses out of his Hancock character, and the suit worn in the movie.
"I took the suit home and my wife and I use it sometimes,” he says of the costume. “Just around the house. It's great."
Hancock strays from the norm by offering up a hero cut from a different cloth than the Superman’s and Batman’s of the comic world.
"I loved the idea of an alcoholic, nihilistic, subversive superhero, fighting crime drunk," says the film’s director Peter Berg.
Apparently, movie goers do too.

1st half was great second half was wack shit.
i felt that way too, if they kept the premise from the beginning, the movie would've been even better

I saw this last night and I have to say it was one of the most over reacted movies Ive seen in a long ass time.
I enjoyed it dont get me wrong but it went from being a comedy to an action film and then to an emotional drama. I didnt know whether to laugh or cry when watching it. Why did they make Will and Charlize married? Why couldnt they of been brother and sister or at least just relations? I just found it all a bit strange. I really enjoyed the beginning but even then I found myself being bored, such as the board room scene and the whole come into my house and eat meatballs scene, I just kept coming in and out of the movie. Oh well.
