He basically took sounds from 2-3 songs and added some stuff, that's just sampling.
-
I always get the Dilated song in my head after hearing the Bishop song... though it's not the same, it's just it's on guitar and is on a similar musical scale
-
wtf?

The Dilated song uses a sample, the Dre track doesn't... the samples on Doggystyle and everything after it were like 99% replayed as well, rather than directly sampled... and the past few years Dre hasn't even been using any kind of sampling, replaying or otherwise
The guitar is just on a similar scale
-
oops my bad on the year..im saying though..the songs are the same...we know what sampling is ...but in hiphop thats way too close for comfort ..and 2001 is but 6 or 7 yrs ago ..shooooot..im listening to Mos Def - Black on Both Sides right now..we need to dig deeper..plus its the good doctor.... ??? basically the songs are the same ..lets just say Bishops is a RMX then ..

Good question ???
Now chuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch 8)

hey u cant help it if u use the same sample or same note or w/e on a beat.....thats just hip hop . the dilated song was prod. by alchemist , n we kno he uses samples 90% of his beats........
-
the point is the song was a hit back then ..and for goodness sakes its the "good dr"..he dont need to be rehashing or tryin to redo songs that were clearly a hit ..we need something fresh ..a new sound..there is tons of sounds to sample...cha digg..u cant take away from the fact that that dilated pples track was a big hit...where the fuck did they go anyway?? ???

THE BEATS DON'T SOUND THAT SIMILAR. I DON'T THINK DRE GOT ANY IDEAS FROM THE WILLIAM BELL SAMPLE. I THINK THE GUITARIST JUST HAD A SIMILAR SWAGGER.

I think you are wrong.
Boss's Life with Snoop Dogg & Akon.. thats a sample, or atleast a replay.. The sample is used by Knottz on some old Busta Rhymes track!
-
They sound nothing alike.
-
So many people have flipped that sample..
Dilated
Bishop
Ludacris
Jaheim
Some east coast guys

dumbest thread ever.
They sound nothing alike.

yea dre still replays a lotta of samples. thats y he got sued on one of the beats for 2001. no samples were listed on that cd but i recognized about 5 or 6 songs. he also used a sample from dido on snoops album for "round here". and even if u dont hear the sample most likely its there, dre has heard and used so many elements of music he can say "play the drums like this" or "do the bassline like this" and you wont even know where it came from cuz its such a small element. trust me, dre still samples
