Most of them give us more props than their fans. T.I., Jay-Z and Luda have worked with Quik a few times since 03...Bun B is ALWAYS talking about West Coast rappers and even said he wants the west to return to prominence. The majority of rappers who are major now did grow up when the west was hot, so they respect us a lot more than the fans nowadays, and a lot of them have something a bit West Coast in their style.
Now for the next generation of rappers, things will be different....for those who are like 12 and 13 now.

yh true. i kno nas gave props to spice 1 on "where are they now?", thats was dope to hear, especially from nas, he said sutn along the lines lik if u wanna be a gangsta, i suggest u listen to some spice 1, respect to nas for that. pete rock in the dubcnn interview gave props too.
is ther any othr rappers that said sutn about the west that was suprising to hear from them?
-
^Yeah, Nas gave shoutouts to a lot of old schoolers like King Tee, and had them on the West Coast remix of "Where are they now?"
Lil Jon had Suga Free on his album...Nelly has "The Bay" track that is blowin up in clubs here...you always hear small references from cats like Fat Joe "Ghostride the whip like I'm from Oakland y'all" and basically every rapper in the game has took a line or two from Snoop...a lot of them have even made hooks based off of his lines.
-
One of the things I like so much about Game is that he works with a ton of artist from the East or South. He fucked with Lil Scrappy, T.I., Lil Wayne, Nas, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Cassidy, Fabolous, Diddy, Stack Bundles, Rich Boy, Hurricane Chris, etc etc etc. I don't necessarily like all of those artist but he holds us down a lot more than Snoop does.

Talib Kweli gave props on his "Beautiful Struggle" album (2004)
"They call me the political rapper
Even after I tell 'em I don't fuck with politics
I don't even follow it
I'm on some KRS, Ice Cube, Chris Wallace shit
Main Source, De La Soul, bumpin' 2Pacalypse Now"
and on his most recent album "Eardrum" (2007) he did a song with Bun B and Pimp C, (R.I.P.), they all gave props
Talib: "Used to playin on T.V., courtesy of video music box
Plus! Knew a lot of hustlas, goin O.T., comin back with the new hip-hop
Like! E-40 holding down the yay (that yay), N.W.A. in L.A.
OutKast from the A-Town, way down in Houston they play the UGK"
Bun B: "Listening to Eric B.and Rakim or EPMD
Cool C and Steady B, plus that Public Enemy
Not to mention N.W.A., DJ Quik, and MC Eiht
Down south we listen to it all, we didn't discriminate"
Pimp C: "I'm down with J. from Houston and I think it should be
But when I'm mobbin L.A. I fuck with Ice-T
Short Dog is my O.G., we been down forever
Taught me the game, lane to lane, and keep my pimpin together"
song is tight album is dope!! Plus he get down wit a lot of west coast dj's and him and Pharoahe Monch was on DJ Quik's Under the Influence album

^^ Itīs Esham, He Mentions DJ Quik.
Esham Is Dope But I Donīt Like His Music That Much, Gets Boring After A While, Heīs Father Of Horrorcore But People Like Brotha Lynch,Necro,Doomsday Productions,Sicx, etc. Are Harder Than Him.My Opinion, Maybe Iīm Wrong.
P.S. The "Funny" Thing Is: David Banner Doesnīt Mention Pac In His Song.
