I don't hear much talk around here about this group but they are dope nonetheless. Anyways, they will be releasing their 6th album this September entitled "FUN DMC." An exact release date is apparently unknown as of now but the new CD, like their last effort, will ostensibly include a bonus DVD with videos and other features. If you're a fan, stay tuned...as more info comes to light :-*

The underground hip-hop outfit People Under the Stairs was formed by Mike Turner (Double K) and Chris Portugal (Thes One), who met on the fringe of L.A.'s late-'90s hip-hop underground. The duo, devoted to jazzy samples, danceable beats, intricate rhyming skills, and laid-back humor, debuted in 1998 with the acclaimed The Next Step and followed it up in 2000 with Question in the Form of an Answer. Gathering heavy praise and touring with De La Soul, the group took their road experiences and brought it to the studio to record their next album. The final results appeared in the summer of 2002 under the name O.S.T. Busy with individual side projects, the next People Under the Stairs album, Stepfather, didn't come out for another four years.

they have some dope songs, but i haven't heard enough from them
-
one of my favorite groups period....consistantly put out great music that can appeal to everyone......thes one imo is like a new age pete rock, may sound far fetched but check out his porduction from 'question in the form of an answer' and after and tell me if its much of stretch....cool peeps too, i've had the chance ot chop it up with them and they are real humble dudes....the reason they dont get no love up in here is cuz while they have a huge fan base in the LA underground scene, most heads up in here aint even from LA, so wouldnt know, not to mention since these cats aint 'gangsta', fools dont give em a chance, but in reality they make great fuckin' music that anyone with the slightest amout of good taste can appreciate
-
damn, the beat is tight on this "days like these" track and is an all-around cool track. Props Laconic 8)
-
PUTS are dope, i got all their releases too, wasnt aware a new one was coming, its been a while since we dropped a PUTS update on Dubcnn, gonna have to catch up with them! Props

That track is real tight, this is the type of Hip Hop that gains my attention.
I remember Rud raving about these a few years ago, didn't they have an album with a cover of Big Ben or another building in London?
What's their best record? I am fiending for some new music.
-
i think O.S.T. is their best album
