He is a very good player but the ball washing the media does to the yankees they overrate him.  Like all of Jeter's leadership qualities.  What have the won since he became the team leader... nothing.  Paul O'Neil was the heart, soul, and leader of those great yankee teams in the late 90's

by the end of my dudes career, he might be the yankees all-time leader in hits. now, you know all those HOF names the yankees have had. thats quite prestigious, if you ask me. 8)

jeter is over-rated as fuck?

lets look at the other shortstops of his generation:  (100 OPS+ = average)

jeter  .316/.386/.459  404 doubles 57 triples 200 home runs  121 OPS+

tejada: .286/.342/.474  358 doubles 21 triples 268 home runs  113 OPS+

a-rod: .306/.389/.578  413 doubles 26 triples 537 HR  148 OPS+

nomar: .314/.364/.525  356 doubles 52 triples 220 HR  125 OPS+

renteria: .290/.348/.404  376 doubles 25 triples 122 HR  96 OPS+

rollins: .277/.332/.441  289 doubles, 86 triples 120 HR  98 OPS+

other than Alex Rodriguez, who you gonna take over Jetes?

what about guys before Jeter?

Trammell: .285/.352/.415 412 doubles 55 triples 185 HR  110 OPS+

Larkin: .295/.371/.444  441 doubles 76 triples 198 HR  116 OPS+

naw they don't look better either.

I don't know guys the couple of months I spent in NY the media seemed to be all on Jeter's dick

I look at dudes stats and he has like 4hr and hitting .280

I know his career avg is like .315 again I havent watched him play for long stretches since recently maybe hes just having an off year

but Reyes is like 25 years old and hits .300 drives in runs from the leadoff spot and has some decent pop in his bat

the only thing I see that Jeter is a better defensive player Reyes had some lapses in the field when I watched him but he can come to the Angels and play on my team any day
