I knew that I've heard that portion of the melody before, nothing new though, J.R. has a tendency to sample classic European hits.
-
loads of J.R.'s newer productions have been on a 80's pop/electro/disco tip in terms of the influence/sampling. same with danja too though. i'm not gonna front i'm really feeling a lot of 80's music, but a some of it does border on being pretty campy. check the drums on this track for more 80's sounds from J.R.:

I didn't mean that all 80s music is gay. I actually like some of the songs too... Thats just that one song.

Well, all the Kanye-type sampling (some times even butchering) old soul/funk classics had to become old and overused at one time, so why not..
J.R. makes most of it sound banging anyway.
-
definitely, most of the futuristic sounding productions sampling synthisizer based 80's pop is dope imo 8) kanye does it 'dusty' style but i like the cleaner, crisper sounds a lot of producers are comin' out with...
danja has made some better stuff on the 80's kinda tip than J.R. though...
-
they dont sound alike to mee, but alot of thesame sounds are used by alot of producers, especially j.r he tends to use similar synth sounds

Let's just hope no one in the hip hop industry pulls "La Carabina De Ambrosio" into the mix.
Though I must admit, that little strip club bit sounds raunchy. 8)
