Title: I-Rod is a Yankee
Post by: Mo Z. Dizzle on July 30, 2008, 07:32:18 PM
Tigers trade C Ivan Rodriguez to Yankees

Quote
Ivan Rodriguez was the steady hand for the Florida Marlins when they won the 2003 World Series. A year later, he was the spark that helped turn around the Detroit franchise when nobody wanted to be a Tiger.

The New York Yankees hope he can be a little of both during their push for the playoffs.

The Yankees acquired the 14-time All-Star from the Tigers on Wednesday for hard-throwing reliever Kyle Farnsworth, a trade that filled glaring holes for both contenders.

AWSOME MOVE! Farnsworth is far too inconsistent to be on the mound in the late innings, in a close ball game. Pudge is a .300 hitter while Molina is a .200 hitter. defensivly...few years ago it was Pudge by far, now-a-days its close and probably leaning towards Molina.

bottom line though...Ivan's value to NY>>>>>Farnsworth's value to NY.

it's too early to say Braun is 3rd best. this season he's tearing it up, but those numbers could flat out the next couple of seasons.
