Anyone heard his new album "smell my finger" it's hottttt... Check him out on myspace and itunes. The single "my dice" is really off tha hook... Ask DJ Quik this cat is off tha hook.

One of my boys put me on to this cat about 3 years ago and I thought his shit was smooth and hot, I never really heard a pimp rappin like this before.. His style is unique and smooth, reminds me of the west coast rap I used to love when I was a youngin

SUGA FREE SHIT WAS A DISAPOINTMENT TO ME...
-
his album is really nice... but he needs dj quik production
-
Just Add Water had better production, in my opinion.

Free is just as good a rapper as Quik is at producing. Some of the beats on this album are pretty weak though, he needs J-Steez to do a full album next time. Quik's the man, but he hasn't done anything lately.

Suga Free is a good rapper yes. But his music he did with Quik was timeless. I can bump Street Gospel today and it still sounds great and up to date. That is the problem today on the west coast. We have so many bullshit rappers/producers that are putting music out too quick for a few bucks or a free download. There's no quality anymore. J-Steez is a good upcoming producer with a lot of funk influence. I love that. But everything he puts out is mastered poor. It sounds like I'm listening to music in a pepsi can.

I'm lovin it, I think it's very underrated and a nice change of pace to the shit we been hearin lately
-
i got to say that this album was a bit of a disapointment to me, too...he still rocks the mic but sometimes the beats are a little bit weak and it went a little bit boring.
i like all of his "older" albums better for real
-
I liked it better after a few listens actually, it grew on me..
-
He got a show goin on tonight on Blythe, California.. Check it out.

he needs quik...

Quik or not Quik this nigga is still hot.. Why you bullshittin?
-
I agree that J-Steez needed to do some more work with suga free.. they work well wif each other

His first 2 albums were great, Just Add Water was pretty good, he proved he could do it w/o quik, but there were some crappy tracks on there too. This album sucks, i'm sorry to say. All those voice effects he does on this album doesn't work for me. He doesn't have as many funny bitch lines either on this one.
Bottom line, with Quik, he's the best, he can do it without any effort at all. He can still pull it off without quik, but he's gotta try really hard. This album he didn't have quik, nor did it appear he tried very hard, and it shows.
Why You Bullshittin 2 is his best song. I love all the bitch checking lyrics in that one, talking about flushing the toilet and burning her and telling her to 'just don't think then'. And right in the middle of the song, he gets up and beats a hoe. This song is a classic.
