some wack tracks, some good tracks, if i combine them with the gangsta party albums best tracks ill have a good cd-r
wat u think
-
how old is the song blaze up the weed, wasnt it on the advance of so so gangsta?
-
About halfway through it. Not bad at all.
-
I just bumped this album a couple times in the car and I got to say I'm pretty satisfied. I think it's much better than Gangsta Party and obviously more time was put into this project. There's some quality production on this project and not the usual stuff you get used to from Daz. That track with Kurupt is a stand out to me, it's one of the best DPG songs I've heard in a minute. Blaze Up The Weed and Summer Vacation are also tight tracks even though they are older cuts. However, it sounds like he revamped the beat on both tracks which is tight. The album flows together well and is pretty consistent the whole way through. I'll give props to Daz for this one! 8)
-
Dip Drop Stop Drip is fire. Good mix of old west styles w/that new sound...A little hyphy but w/that DPG shine to it. Should be a banger at the clubs.
-
Thought it was decent, a buncha bangers on there there though, id give it a 6.5/10 right now. It will probably grow on me though!!!
-
this album's the shit! you guys need to give it a couple more listens!

Co sign. Just finished listening to it a couple of minutes ago. Picked it up at Best Buy. Meal Ticket is my joint right now.
-
"Thiz is how we live", God damn! 8)
-
it was okay, kept a couple songs, deleted most of it though :-\
-
I like it a lot, but i'ma a big Dogg Pound fan. I was listenin to it last night drunk as fuck, so gotta check it out again from start to end.
But "My Summer Vacation", "Only On Tha Left Side", ""This How We Do It" and "Thiz Weekend" been bangin at my house a lot lately. Kinda odd that "Blaze Up The Weed" is there, that shit is real old.
-
not bad at all, about a 6.5/10
favorite tracks (in order)
Regretz
Thiz How We Live
Me & My Cuzzin'
Meal Ticket
Squeeze
My Ways R Shady
Dip, Drop, Stop, Dip
those are really the only ones I really liked, it's all good though, not disappointed at all, very decent cd.
-
a better daz album but it sucked that i already knew half of the album. the artists should leak only snippets to promote the disc.
-
I'm from the hood must be the worst song I ever heard.
These are my favorites from the first listening:
Squeeze
Regretz
This Is How We Live
Dip Drop Stop Dip
My Summer Vacation
That regretz was very surprising, Daz actually puts some feeling on it. Sounds like Daz version of "Can't Say Goodbye", even that piano sound is similar. This south/west style sounds actually pretty good now, doesn't sound like a cheap ripoff.
To me this was better because I didn't listen to that advance rip. :)
Can't wait for that Dogg Pound album, that's for sure gonna be better than anything recent. If even half of the tracks got that This Is How We Live feeling then I'll be more than happy.
-
After a terrible album "Gangsta Party" I wasnt expected something good from Daz but that album is really not that bad
-
damn he came wit heat this time. Was disappointed with gangsta party, but this is much better 8) DPGC
-
Too much hate goin on, this album is way more better then "Gangsta Party", there's a lot of good tracks.
I liked maybe two tracks from "Gangsta Party", so i rate this much higher. Even though, Daz ain't that lyrical, he always got dope beats and i like to bump his shit.
-
it def got a few bangers...so its worth buying for all the dpg fans with enough money
-

nah i don't think so, i just checked it and i'd say it's up there with Ego Trippin and the Let's ryde 2 night EP
so far i only like My Summer Vacation :P
-
you guys gotta admit, this is quality shit for a Daz release.
Soopafly DPGC, care to give us your take? haha
-
I miss the days when we could argue if the new Daz album is a 10 or an 8.5.....
-
For the most part, this shit is weak...The tracc with Kurupt is probably the only standout traccc, but the chorus kind fuccs that up. :-\
-
Haven't gotta the chcne to listen to it, but will defo give it a spin!
-
Listened to it all the way through about 3 times and I got to say I dig it. My only negative about it is that Daz: 1. Rushes through his lyrics STILL at times. >:( 2. Is still searching for that signature sound. I thought he was on to something with SDDS, and D&YGII. This one he had smooth tracks, melodic tracks and hard hitting tracks. He either needs to do more work with Soopafly or sit with Ivan Johnson and come up with some more cohesive sounds. But for the most part I liked a majority of the beats.
-
My rate :
01. Squeeze 4 / 5
02. I'm from the hood 3 / 5

05. Meal ticket 4 / 5
06. I'm da dopeman 3 / 5
07. Blaze up tha weed 4.5 / 5
09. Dip drop stop dip 4 / 5
10. This how we do it 3.5 / 5
11. Do ya thang 3 / 5
12. This weekend 3.5 / 5

yeah Daz doesn't really have a signature sound.

Somebody who allready bought the album should hookup the credits. I have a feeling "This Weekend" is produced by Soopafly.
-
compare that shit to "raw" and "rrgb" and PUKE!!
-
okay it isnt SHIT compared to his RAW/RRGB albums....but we already know he will never and cant top that....
but its better than the last Gangsta whatever album it was.....not as good as So So Gangsta, but it does have some bangers!
Regrets ft tyrese, is a refreshing change of song for Daz, check that one out

Meal Ticket

This Weekend
Who I Be
Thiz How We Live
My Wayz R Shady
-
Regretz is a good look for DAZ.
-
track 3 is hard as fucc
-
Listened to this again in the ride. God damn the bass on it knocks!!! Going back to the This Is The Life I Lead bass volumes.
-

Co produced by Daz & Soopafly. Do Ya Thang has a crazy ass beat. Soopa/Daz in on that one also.
-
i didn't like this album ..liked smoke weed track...remembered that old beat from dubccn
-

So Daz needs an "executive" inside the studio to be on a good level...well we already knew that from the Dogg Food times.
-
just listened to it and i gotta say this is WAY better than his last albums :o
-
Pretty tight ass albums just think how many albums or dvd's some are crappy but i mean Daz has been putting out way more shit than probably almost any west coast artists since Death Row. Yeh I admit some of the shit wasnt that good but he keeps giving us product after product. The only other one from the dpg that has done that constant is snoop and thats because he's on a real label and gets mad promotion while daz does this shit all on his own. Mad props to Daz on this album its pretty fuckin tight keepin the dpg shit poppin!
-
just listened to it and i gotta say this is WAY better than his last albums
"Only On Tha Left Side" > "Gangsta Party", "Gangsta Crunk".
-
i agree
+1
-
alot better than his recent shit but you cant compare it to RAW and RRG&B
that was Daz in his prime and his lyrics have gone way down since then
the production on this album is decent though 8)

of course. great point. ppl need to stop getting hyped about Daz's solo projects. Dogg Pound albums are more anticipated anyway.
you can't compare the Daz of now to the Daz of then. that was a different era and Daz had different motives.
his lyrics are awful and rushed now, but makes up for it with a nice flow, good production, and some decent features.
this is definitely his 2nd best album since DPG LP, behind SSG.
-
can some1 hook me up with this please
not been on in awhile and im broke as a joke
cheers
-
I cant listen to daz anymore..
-
not really feeling this album, daz is doing too many rubbishy crunk beats these days. summer vacation and blaze up tha weed are cool. the last daz solo project that i thought was genuinely good was that dpgc u know what i'm throwin up. that was a tight album.
