Me too but you gotta remember cube is a great rapper but daz was a great producer and maybe he would get his shit together but his production is just sloppy.

daz is a fucking joke :-\

if dogg chit was a polished cd, lyrically and production wise, it probably could have been a 4 mic album....concept-wise.  at this point in daz's career, shouldn't he and kurupt just concentrate on making 16 nice ass songs and taking their time?

Daz need to Step up on makin some REAL WESTCOAST RAP BEATS as lately I had'nt heard a Real WestCoast Classic Album like DoggyStyle or Dogg Food in long awhile.

BUT.....

Daz is a Master Mind you can't hate on Daz.

He produced 100's of killer tracks that in some cases are better than alot of Cube's tracks.

Daz Produced one of the Greatest rap albums of all time "DOGG FOOD"

He making Beats and Rappin and that takes alot of Work.

He a DON on his Game!

We Waitin for a Classic old School WestCoast Album  Daz !

I think Dogg Pound Gangsta LP was the closest thing to a classic Daz album in awhile. He has it in him but he's a hustler. He'd rather put out like three albums a year then concentrate on dropping a classic 1 and that's why I think his stock has dropped. With the Death Row shit, he was around hungry and talented cats at that time. Dre was around there and the DPG camp was at its best. Death Row had a reputation to live up to. Dre, Suge, etc. would never have let him drop anything that wasn't 100%. A Daz-produced Dogg Pound group album should be anticipated like a solo album from DJ Quik. That used to be on the checklist, man. Anything Dre or Quik fucked with was must-own. Anytime that Daz or Kurupt did something, you had to have it. I think the biggest disappointment was when Kurupt put out that Daz-produced solo album and it was cool but not quite where it should have been.

+1 for a good opinion. I agree about Dogg Chit. outdated beats, monotonous lyrics, Kurupt not his usual self...
seemed like a rushed project...

yea, about the 16 nice songs, I agree. I miss the Daz on R.A.W. classic Daz right there!

co-sign on all this. at DR, it was a whole different story. you got the right talent around you, you aren't gonna disappoint.

as for the DPG LP, shit was classic as hell. had a more laid back west coast Daz that we once knew. haha

Dogg Chit was cool IMO. Kurupt had his moments on there, but I thought the guest appearances carried that album a bit (Game, Brotha Lynch, Glasses, RBX, etc) I have been bumping Mo Murda and Vibe off that album lately.

kurupt ruined that album for me.  his raps were shit and i don't like how he's changing his flow after the backlash like that changes anything.

that brotha lynch song fucking died when he came on.  "i ain't drinking no more / no more drinking / i ain't smoking no more / no more smoking / ..."  lmao what the fuck

kurupt needs to rap fast and flow worth a fuck again.  he needs to put those stupid hyperbolas back in his lyrics again too.

blaze it up was classic kurupt actually, yeah.  the bad azz song i don't really remember, but it used to get a lot of play on xm radio last summer which was cool.

the big brother freestyle he and daz did was great.  better than the original in all seriousness.

Alot of people may disagree with me, but Cube may be a West Coast heavywieght and one of the founders of hip-hop and all of that, but I don't believe he's ever made an album that comes close to being as great as...

Don't get me wrong.. I love Cube, and he's one of the key figures responsible for the West Coast golden age, and he's larger than just hip-hop, I loved his work in Friday and Boyz in the Hood, and also as a leader in the hip-hop and black community....

But for real... When it comes to putting an album together from top to bottom....

Dogg Food and Revenge Retaliation Get Back >>> Any Cube album

and... I could even say.....

Great Records Daz was a part of (Doggystyle, Chronic, Murder Was The Case, All Eyez On Me)  >>>>> Great Records Cube was a part of (NWA albums, Westside Connection first album)

Revenge Retaliation Get Back was a very weak album IMO. and Straight Outta Compton,Bow Down,AmeriKKKa´s most Wanted,Lethal Injection,Death Certificate and The Predator are just as good as the albums Daz have been apart of. but it´s pretty easy to be a apart of a good project when Dre is producing and when Dre´s not involved you got Kurupt writing your shit.

But are you basing Daz's 1st album great because of his rhymes and beats or the 20+ guests he had on there? Same argument with My Homies from Scarface.

honestly, the beats were nothing special. that album has no replay value for me.
the guest spots were the only thing good about that album.
R.A.W. was much better.

I wouldn't call it better than any of Cube's best albums tho.
Dogg Food I could see. that's a classic.
