Nappy Roots have just entered the Billboard Rap Charts at no. 7 and the Hip-Hop and R&B Charts at no. 13!! Dubcnn's Chad Kiser kicked it with Nappy Roots at their album release party and snapped some exclusive pictures from the event; be on the lookout for his review of The Humdinger album next week.

When the Nappy Roots touched down in Los Angeles for the BET awards in June, they hit up some local studios and came out with some of that timeless Cali funk. The staff here at Dubcnn helped arrange those Cali sessions, and we'll be sharing the music with you -- straight from the studio -- exclusively here on Dubcnn!

Keep an ear out for the next next official single off The Humdinger, "Down 'N Out", featuring Anthony Hamilton.

Nappy Roots is launching their official website this weekend, check that out at www.nappyroots.com

How many units did it move first week? I heard it was 7K - not bad at all for an indie release.
