Title: NFL Sticky?
Post by: Fuck Your Existence on August 18, 2008, 03:04:11 PM
NIK,can we get an NFL sticky up in here? would be cool to have rather than flood the board with stuff we could just cram in one thread

ya we need an NFL sticky, and we need to bring back the UFC sticky, since we had one before, and now people just make a new topic about it for every fight.

I don't see a point in a sticky for every sport or team.  We have a Lakers sticky thread and there still is 10 topics about the Lakers on the first page most of the time.

Make an "Official NFL Thread", and if it generates enough interest, it'll get the sticky...the "The UFC Thread" was taken down because no one replied in it for some time...as long as it's still worthy of being a sticky, it will.

;D It will be like the sticky of DMX getting arrested thread.  Especially now that the Bungholes brought back Chirs Henry :grumpy:  Screw that team except Houshmandzadeh & Marvin Lewis but I feel sorry for their fans.  I  heard that nearly 70% of the fans don't like this move.  They shouldn't have done it.  I'm just glad none of the teams I like signed him.  Dorkman Jones thinks that Chris Henry JUST DOESN'T GET IT!  In the nasty Nati, when they said,' If its brown, flush it down,' they're no longer talking about Cleveland.  It all begins & ends with Mike Brown.  Their franchise died when Paul Brown did.

Seriously though, I actually do wish the team would get its act together.  Especially do better than the Steelers.  For Marvin Lewis.  He shoulda been hired by a better team but sadly in the 21st Century some teams or schools would rather suck with a white coach who's sorry than a minority coach who's creative & can possibly win >:(.  But i'm just tired of the black players on that time constantly fucking up off the field & its just making Lewis look bad.  You'd think they'd stop all that.  With certain white coaches like Parcells, Jimmy Johnson or Bobby Knight, they don't play.  Lewis shouldn't be fired.  Under him, the Nati hasn't lost double digit games.  Something that was normal b4 he got there.  I guess Stephen A. Smith was right.  Players respect white coaches more than they do black coaches.

they do need to get there act together but i dont believe its a black and white issue...its the type of coach, not the colour of his skin and it comes down to just having a bunch of immature players

I don't think the SI predictions will be on point but who knows?  With the NFL these days it's VERY difficult to prediction what is going to happen.

Anyone think they can do a better job than SI?  Post up every team's record and playoff outcomes, we'll see in February the results.

eagles in the SB again

they'll be solid but they'd be a pathetic NFC rep.  they'd get WAXED without a #1

I dont really see the Eagles in the SB, but lets not forget 2 years ago they were a few plays away from the NFC title game, and have pretty much teh same team, but with Mcnabb not Garcia..>I Still dont see it..No wr's will hurt Mcnabb alot, yet hes never really had great wr's...

I DISAGREE!!
And we usually agree haha.
That defense is REALLLLLYYYY GOOD!
and If Mcnabb stays healthy they win 11-12 games and maybe the NFC East.
Mcnabb is amazing if hes healthy it doesnt matter who he throws too besides T.O. Hes never had anyone great neways to throw too. As well as LJ Smith whose gonna have a great year and he always has westbrook who can take a dumpoff 70 yds anytime.. the Rams arent great but they aint that bad either and the Eagles DOMINATED.

maybe a disagreement will be fun for a change  ;)
I am not 100% yet that the defense is "REALLY GOOD." They had problems forcing turnovers last year and until they can prove to me they can do that on a regular basis (st. louis doesn't count lol) i'll be up in the air on that. See my thing is IF Mcnabb stays healthy they can win 11-12 games and win the NFC East...but Mcnabb WON'T stay healthy, the guy as is as injury prone as it gets. He can do like last year and play 14 games banged up and he'll have an avg season.

I think the Rams are BAD; about a 2-4 win team this year and the Eagles dominating them doesn't surprise me.

I said struggle to make the playoffs because the cowboys are going to win that division and I think the NFC wild card race is going to be a tight one this year.

Let's see what the Eagles do this monday on prime time against the Boys, a win there will impress me...

i love how the AFC is so wide open

injuries are never anything to "wish" for, but they happen.  every1 gets em

the Pats, Chargers and Colts are missing the some of the best players in the league (Brady, Saturday, Merriman).  and the jags oline is in shambles.

the AFC has alot of up and coming teams, shit will get interesting

Jets-Bills-PAtriots will be a GREAT battle

were not talking about last year, and Chargers always start slow. Giants had 2 weeks to prepare for the Pats, Chargers had 1. Chargers played AT NE, Giants didnt..
But the Giants are the Champs ill give em that. I just think the Chargers will be better this year

this year who knows, nobody does

but last year the Giants were the best team when it mattered....i never expected to be able to say that  8)

i have to agree. imo the Giants winning was one of the biggest flukes in sports history lol. like bigger than the Rockies making it to the WS lol. Giants wont win again, they might not even make it to the playoffs (they might).

Chargers > Giants.

clearly...when bookies make the spread 48 points, the Giants arent close to being the favorite. it was clear who the better team was last year, and they didn't show it...shame.

honestly, the G-men were lucky to make it to the NFC championship game, let alone the SB.

winning @ Tampa bay = skill

winning @ Dallas = talent

winning @ GB = determination

winning on a neutral field to the patriots = PRICELESS

dont be jealous cuz ya team didnt make it to the bowl

im not jealous of nothing. i wasn't planning on the Jets to make the playoffs from the start of the season...the new off-season additions & the Giants winning last year, give me a STRONG hope for this year. G-Men winning was a fluke, but it shows anyone can just take it & you dont have to be the better team...so thanks. :)

chargers to me are missing something to get to that next level..both the giants and the chargers are decent teams but when i look at the chargers i just cant see them taking it all

a 13-6 team beating an 18-0 is usually a "fluke"

but the Giants did what the Colts, Chargers, Cowboys, Jags, Steelers, Jets Blls etc. etc. ALL failed at doing, and they did it WITH THE WHOLE WORLD WATCHING

an "upset" yes

a "fluke" no

too bad Joey Galloway went down in that playoff game, changed the whole offensive aspect for the Bucs when they were up 7-0 and controlling tempo..
