Don't get me wrong. I think Game is one of the best rappers of this era but after listening to 'L.A.X', it seems he can't make a track without throwing in a line comparing himself to someone or some predictable punchline mentioning someone. Don't label me a hater or anything, I just can't help but say something about it.
-
We've known this since "The Documentary". It's his style. Get over it.
-
You just barely figured this out? He's been doing it since he got into the game. It's his style.

Oh i've definetly noticed it before. It just seems hes done it way more as time went by. It doesn't bother me really. I just wanted to know what his stans and others think about it.
-
stans talks shit about it, fans dont care :) cuz we just enjoy good music
-
a stan is a obsessed fan not a hater^
stans say its his style and accept it and make excuses, normal people realize he has nuthin to rhyme about so he name drops and says its his style
-
It's just his style. I don't mind.
-
another one of these...get over it or dont listen to his shit....its really not that hard
-
Depends on when he uses it:
A) Name dropping on Game's Pain ---> paying homage to old school, therefore him name dropping is cool and reasonable
B) Name dropping on My Life ---> pathetic that he has to name drop so many random people on a track that is suppose to paint a picture about his life

You just discovered that Game "name drops"?
It's really not that big of a deal in my opinion. People need to get over it.
-
lol i think hes a new fan .. his rap style was mad different on from QB to Compton...
how hard is it to name drop, shit im not a rapper but -- cuz u know i stay paid cuz im unstoppable in the paint call me Dwayne Wade... See how easy and talentless that is ??
but hey, lyrical skills and content went out the window in the 90s nobody checks for that anymore its all about your Image, Attitude and making things sound cool and THE BEAT .. remember big pun, he was thug yet didnt push his image like all super bad ass and delivered crazy lyrics
ima leave yall with "i was thuggin before it became a marketing plan" - crooked i
peace
-
he does it too much.
-
he pulls it off pretty well on lax
sometimes he's clever with it, sometimes not

as you've perfectly explained, there are different types of name dropping...the one i hate the most, is the exaggerated "Dr. Dre this blabla Dr. Dre that" Game does very very frequently!!

The nigga name drops cause he aint got shit to talk about. He aint live that banging lifestyle he potrays cause if he did the shit would come out in his music not the name dropping shit. And that's not being a hater just keeping it 100.

Actually, back when The Documentary was out, I found the namedropping a bit annoying, but as time has gone by I've gotten used to it. I still found it a b it annoying when DA coame out, but with LAX it hasn't bothered me in the slightest. Generally speaking I think his flow and his rapping in general has gotten progressively better with each album. He's sick on Angel.

yeah it seems crazy but thats the way it is

who cares .. an if he did it another way you would have another problem with it ...big up game go hard an fuck the world

I have to admit that I donīt likeed his constantly namedropping too when I first listened to "The Documentary" back then, but nowadays I donīt really care no more about it. Itīs his style and Iīm OK with it and Gameī also had demosntraded that he can write lyrics without dropping names. I wonder why people always reduce him on this

god damn thats a gang of names
