I know eating right, drinking water, and staying away from drugs and alcohol will help
also working out everyday and running
but im planning on joining the air force at the end of the month and im pretty out of shape
anybody got any good suggestions and/or websites that could help me out as far as nutrition, diets, excercises, etc..
im trying to get into perfect shape in 2 weeks and by that i mean running 1.5 miles in 12 minutes doing about 50 pushups and like i think 40 sit ups in 1 minuite
really my body is not that out of shape im not fat or anything but i need to get my heart healthy and my lungs healthy
im not focused on losing wait just getting my heart strong as well as my lungs
any help would be appreciated

Lots of cardio-based workouts will do; Elliptical trainer machine, stair stepping machine, aerobics (tae-bo).
Good conditioning will increase your stamina to halfway endure what they'll put you through @ boot camp. So I'd focus a lot on doing hardcore cardio for the next month. 4-6 hours per day, 3-4 days per week. On the off days, just go for long walks twice a day for 5-10 miles at least, but walk faster than normal pace to where you break a sweat.

pretty dumb question bro...
you wont get into shape in 2 weeks, even if you have a history of fitness... and over doing it wont help at all.
i guess it depends what you can do now and what you could do in the past.
you could always try amphetamines.... good luck!!!

I don't if anyone else knows about contrast showers, but they are awesome for detoxing your body and good for your muscles.
Get in the shower after a workout
* 3 minutes hot, 1 minute cold
* 2 minutes hot, 1 minute cold
* 1 minute hot, 1 minute cold
This isn't for pussies either, the cold really hits you, but i guarantee your body will feel great afterwards, it's a trip.

Pretty much what he said but I wouldn't over-rely on the elliptical. Try upping your daily mileage run to increase stamina. However, do it slowly if you're not used to running past 1.5 miles.

Ummm your pretty smart........but your pretty fuckin stupid too. Who the hell does 4-6 hours of cardio a day LMFAO. Hes not a star athelete you idiot. I wouldnt do anymore then 90 minutes of cardio a day. Even a hour is really good. But its gonna take alittle longer then 2 weeks, at least a month!!!
-
LMAO @ 4 to 6 hours of cardio. Hes not Michael Phelps.
-
i would recommend buying a heavy punching bag if you have a place to hang it. if you work on your punching technique as well as your footwork you will get a hectic workout that's not boring and you will get better at throwing punches. pullups are great too, especially after hitting the bag
