Andorra hatchet man Oscar Sonejee had a running battle with the England striker when the sides clashed 18 months ago.

Rooney was booked and hauled off in the 3-0 win by then boss Steve McClaren in the European Championship qualifier.

And ‘Enforcer’ Sonejee has vowed to get stuck into him again when the Three Lions start their bid to reach the World Cup finals against the minnows.

Sonejee, an insurance salesman, revealed: “Rooney was using the F word then said ‘I’m a star player’ and insulted me, then I insulted him back.

“He was thinking ‘who are Andorra?’ Rooney was arrogant.

“He is very hot and aggressive. He said things to me and I said them back.

"But I insulted him in Spanish so he probably didn’t understand.

"It’s important for us to be physical and, in this game, I will try to do better than last year.

“Since then he’s become a European champion with Manchester United. But all that does for guys like us is motivate us to work harder.

“Rooney’s a fighter but so am I and I’ll try to put him under the same mental and physical pressure to see whether he’s up for it.

“If England show any lack of respect they are going to suffer.

“As soon as a team lacks respect the game stops being superstars against part-timers and reverts to 11 versus 11, that’s when anything can happen.”

Sonejee also plans to teach captain John Terry a thing or two about sportsmanship.

The Andorra defender said: “After our last match, Terry snatched the shirt which I’d swapped with Jermain Defoe out of my hands. He’d better not do it again.”
