Title: Baseball Races Heating Up Down The Stretch
Post by: Twentytwofifty on September 07, 2008, 05:16:38 PM
We have the Mets and Phillies neck and neck, actually playing right now.  Philly only down one game.
Tampa is going to Boston for a series after seeing their lead shrink to 1.5 games.
Arizona lost their spot at the top to LA this weekend.

It looks like the Angels are the only ones that can coast to October.  Should be an interesting final month.

For a team with the best RISP in baseball, the Twins sure have been losing a lot lately. They are still 2.5 games back. Cmon White Sox! Choke like you have so many times in the past!

The Twins might get some help this week, much like the Red Sox just did.  The White Sox are running into a red hot team right now.   ;)

The Twins still have a 3 game set with the Sox in Minnesota during the last week.  All the Twins have to do is keep it close until then and anything can happen.

If the bullpen holds on, I think the Twins can pull it out. The relievers gave up two 2-run home runs in the same inning the other day which didn't help their cause.

Knuckles, I really hope the Jays beat the shit out of the Sox. They didn't have to sweep the Twins last week though. That was just uncalled for. >:(

Wouldn't it be 10 in a row since it was a double header? ???

Either way, props to the Jays. One more to go and the Twins are only 1 game back.

we just need to win about 7 on this road trip, which is more than possible cause we face the pirates 4 times..do what we do at home for 3 games, then continue the owning of the jints at their home for 3 games.

with our pretty easy schedule, the few games that are left should be a cake walk.
