Your thoughts of a classic? Memories, fav tracks & productions, write it down 8).
-
Classic, might be the only one from Bad Azz. This is one of those albums that you can listen from start to the end.
Lyrically Bad Azz is good, but he could've talked about some other shit on few songs, but i still consider it a classic.
I wanna hear the original version of "I Ain't Concerned" it featured Daz, but they was beefin at the time, so his verse didn't make the album, you can hear him sayin somethin on the song though.
-
Really? Bad Azz was beefin' with Daz at the time? Because of Death Row?

Nahh, on some personal shit. Bad talks about it in the dubcnn interview.

"You know what fuck you Bad Azz take me off your record I don't want to be involved in your shit, don't go put me on your album I don't wanna rap wit you again"
I remembered he had a verse, but Daz was only on the hook.
-
Damn, thanks, never known it before.
-
and its been 4 years Bad Azz disapeared from the rapgame...
Mac Mall said in 2006 they sign him through Thizz Ent. but except a few features here and there, nothin happened
-
I hooked him [Bad] up on myspace and he've said that he prepares an album with Low Lifes, distributed by Capitol. I wonder if it ever come out. Hope so.
Bad Azz is one of the dopest MCs in the rap game, for real. He's so talented dude.
-
it aint no classic IMO
-
I think it's true West Coast classic debut, no doubt. And I don't even call every dope album classic, trust me.
-
i understand but when IMO someone calls an album a classic it has to be able to stand next to other TRUE classics such as the chronic illmatic The Infamous Wrath of the Math Me Against the world.
see what im saying?

I feel you. But I think we can consider it as a West Coast classic as well. Not world wide classic like Illmatic, Doggystyle, The Chronic, The Infamous, Things Fall Apart, Black On Both Sides. Just a little DPGC classic that need to went to...

i just think if it can't be compared to those classic album you and i listed then it ain't no classic AT ALL.
But whatever everyone has their opinion.
-
it's a dope album for me... but it has been just over 10 years now since a classic came outta the West that I forgot to make a thread for: Jayo Felony - Whatcha Gonna Do

He's got his own label Double $ Sign, he's doin' his own thang with Low Lifes. Hope they got enough material and they're lookin' for some distribution. But around 6 months old bulletin says that they signed deal with Capitol. I wrote him today, so I'll give U an update if he'll respond.

i own a copy of this 8)
pretty dope album, but not a classic
-
not even close to a classic, that word gets used way too much
-
Always been a fan of Bad Azz. Great voice and flow. Very good album, def one of the better DPG releases.
-
We need another BadAzz album. That was a bangin' cd single "Puttin It Down", and dope album "Word on tha Streetz".
-

yep, and it´s hard to consider an album that had no impact what so ever on hip hop a classic. a classic album has to be innovative in some way or fashion. i guess that beating from Spider and the Death Row camp still got him spooked coz he´s been MIA for a long ass time ;D
-
It's a decent album but the reason Daz was not on it is because he pimped Bad Azz. Bad don't want it with Dilly.

Yeah man, let us know what's up. I def would cop a new Bad Azz/Low Life's album if they ever put one out. He's been lying low for too long now. Need to come outta the cave. No sense in Bin Ladening up like that.
-
bad azz first two albums were classics. i haven't heard any recent shit but he need to go back to that old shit he was making.
