Post by: Ghetto187 on September 09, 2008, 06:53:03 PM
Here A Quote From A Inside Source About Lil Eazy-E's Album The Prince Of Compton

Quote
Lil Eazy not dropping till first quarter of 09...some more news, I spoke to Katie at Blackground records, she heads up the marketing and she said that its just slated, i asked her if he has been dropped she said no because they have spent to much money on him, and also is the album really dropping in 09, she said nothing is certain, but thats the plans,

i have heard they dont know what to do with lil eazy, cause they have spent so much money and they dont know what to do with his album, they have spent so much money on the album, that they are confused on what to do next, call the pr person at GIC public relations her name is Amy this is her number 323-305-1100 office, call her and ask her whats up, i am tired of waiting, hell his manager dont even pick up now, call and demand that the album drop

I don't think anybody had their hopes for this.  Everybody knew it wasn't dropping this month.  Sucks for him though.  He has some good songs.

They don't know what to do with his album? Then why are they in the music business?

There's a sad irony in having an 'album version' when there will almost certainly be no album.

I love hating.

I'm not up on Lil E, so forgive me if this has been answered.  But why doesn't he sign to Ruthless?  Aren't they supposed to be trying to make a comeback?  I thought i read something about their 20/25th anniversary coming up and trying to do something special for it.  They've got unreleased Eazy verses, which Lil E was trying to get for a while, so to me, it seems like he'd be a good artist to get the label going again.  Release a 25th anniversary compilation of some old Ruthless Records stuff (similar to what the did for their 10th anniversary CD), throw some unreleased Eazy E songs on there, put a few with Lil E on there to introduce him to the masses, after a few months of people hearing his verses on that CD, then drop his debut album with an unreleased Eazy verse on it to get the old school Ruthless fans hooked, plus maybe get a few Ruthless producers like Rhythm D to do some stuff on it, and it'd probably do OK.

Ruthless is a terrible label to sign to..

but wtf? What's so hard. How much money have they really spent on this guy? I haven't seen him on tv or anything. If they meant they spent it on the album, then release a single, shoot the video, and promote the album. How hard is it?

Oh wow, I had no idea.  Thanks for the information.  Was this available in stores?  What was the tracklist?  Was there anything different from the "Decade Of Game" CD they released?

They probably meant producers, features and shit like that.
