what's the best way to download single tracks?
i have limewire, pretty crappy and it won't connect anymore.
any other programs / suggestions on getting tracks?

Go to google.com and type "Xzibit - Best Of Things zshare". Should work 99% of the time.
-
^^ What if you're looking for something slightly more oblivious than something from Xzibit's best selling album?

Google usually finds almost everything but Boxden is generally good, has a dope request section too....

You could also try www.ahsingles.com

I get most of my music from blogs.
If you've been searching forever for something, try setting up a google alert for it. Google will look for it 24/7, and email you when it finds it. I've done that before too.

props to everybody for the information.
going to look through the different suggestions and see what i can find.

blogs nearly always have links and can be easily found with some googling. if you really wanna go after some rare stuff then you need to check out soulseek - a small little p2p app that is music collectors/sharers paradise 8)
