Debuting at No. 1 on Billboard's 'Top Rap Albums Chart' this week is T.I. with his sixth solo album titled Paper Trail. Paper Trail earns a gold plaque in its opening week by scanning 569,300 discs. The album features appearances from Jay-Z, Lil Wayne & Ludacris.
Sliding to No. 2 is Young Jeezy. The Recession bags up 38,700 units in its sixth week on the chart. So far, the album has sold 489,600 copies.
Posted at No. 3 is Lil Wayne. Tha Carter III shelled out 34,500 discs this week. After 18 weeks, the album has sold a total of 2,523,200 copies.
The Game slips a spot to No. 4. LAX reels in 28,100 copies this week, pushing the album's total to 476,000.
Right behind the Compton rapper at No. 5 is Nelly. 17,400 folks picked up Brass Knuckles this week, bringing the album's total sales to 127,000.
Debuting at No. 6 is Murs with his latest album titled Murs For President. The set shifts 12,500 units in its first week out.
Holding fort at No. 7 is DJ Khaled. We Global moved 11,80 0 discs this week. So far, the album has sold a total of 79,400 copies.
Christian rapper Lecrae debuts on the charts at No. 8. His third album, Rebel, shelved off 9,800 discs in its opening week.
Seated at No. 9 is M.I.A. Kala shifted 9,400 units this week. To date, the album has sold 344,700 copies.
Wrapping up the Top 10 is LL Cool J. Exit 13 cashed out 6,900 copies this week, bringing the album's total sales to 73,100.

Yea for sure!!! I dont know whats wrong with him/label.....horrible promotion, I mean i guess 400K is pretty good for word of mouth but he needs to drop a single like "Angel" or maybe even "LAX Files"

LAX did not flop, Going gold after 3 weeks aint that bad with today standards. I dont know why people are trying to call that a flop. But selling over 350,000 first week is not flop. And "My Life" is still goin strong. Its gets mad views on youtube, and its in the TOP 5 on 106 n Park. But it is time for Game to drop a new single fairlly soon 8)
PS- LAX aint garabage. Just because the whole records dosent sound westocoast that makes it garbage?? Game Dropped DA which was like 85% westcoast. Open your ears. LAX is dope!

lax was the one of the best albums to come out in 2008. hands down. it would've had a shit ton more sales if it was more orientated towards the teeny boppers like tha carter III. thank god it wasn't. i could give a shit less how many copies an album sells. if i like it, then i'm content. albums sales in today's market don't mean jack shit. i guarantee if you incorporated illegal downloads game would be sittin at around 2 mill + easily.

I agree. Not sure why he hasn't gone gold yet but I liked the album and that's the only thing that matters to me.

Its not great, but for Today, with Nelly Having 4 singles with Fergie Akon and all them selling 120 000, its amazing.
Plus My Life will be a Million Sales Single, its already 500 000+ with 45 000 a week,
Digitals Hurt the album sales, but Game will push 700 000 At least, thats Good for these days
