This shit came out in 97 so Snoop was still on Deathrow at the time of this. This track and the one he did with Rage Against The Machine are so dope.

Sublime released the snoop version on that box set and an EP but I think the Pharcyde one just ended up on a Pharcyde record.

I've been covering the old George Gershwin jazz song the melody comes from lately on piano and singing it and shit. It's a favorite and a classic.

I just wish Snoop dropped a whole verse as opposed to just dropping sprinkled couplets throughout the song and talking like he did. It's still quite awesome though.

This is because the song is more of the Long Beach gangster style, instead of the classic dub/ska blend rock fans normally hear from them on KROQ. I know this cause I used to listen to that station ("Furious, FIVE!").

R.I.P. to Bradley Nowell. He had intelligent songs such as "Date Rape" on his 40 Oz. To Freedom and feel good vibes like this one (Original Version, mind you). He died of a cocaine overdose on 1996, but since then, rappers such as Baby Bash and Snoop Dogg have relied on his beach boy vocals for some memorable melodies.

I must warn you that "Sexual Eruption" was inspired by Roger Troutman and not Bradley Nowell. But somewhere in Ego Trippin', you'll find it.
