wow lighten up. no shit hes doing his job. i was obviously talkin from a biased laker fan perspective who wants to see the best for his team.
that being said, u dont get paid off of potential, u need to play for ur contract and earn it. his agent was on crack thinking lakers were going to cave in and just fork out 17 million a year.

asking for 17 mil is just a part of the game. You always get a counter offer that is less than what you ask for, so naturally, you ask for more than you actually want.

It's a good deal on both sides, if he continues to improve like he has, then he'll get rewarded. His only 21, we have yet to see him at his full potential.
